Got a new Korean import of the slim digital for $370. Did a quick inspection and it all looks legit/ new. Will wait till Christmas to properly open it. Let my kid enjoy opening it too.

Holy shit what's up with the all the GOTY drama? Why are some Wukong fans pretending it's a 97+ masterpiece robbed by 75 rated (and woke) AstroBot? It's a pleasant surprise that Wukong got nominated at all considering its aggregated scores. Weird (and unprecedented lol).

Tells you how much some people think The Game Awards are important I guess.

Started playing Star Wars Outlaws, the change from 60fps game to 30fps cutscenes is .. 🤮. Apart from that tho, it’s not terrible so far after 4hrs. Will likely not plat it this year as I picked up Witcher 3 (and DLC) for literally nothing. Played W3 years ago on autopilot, barely remember it. About 3hrs in on Death March difficulty, just defeated the griffon. Will likely be the last game I play this year and first plat of next year.

The PC crowd can be the whiniest sissies there are.

Whatever shit they believe they are entitled to and don't end up getting, always results in the same endless crying.

For them Wukong winning somehow would represent a PC win for them to brag about.

The word is entitled, perfect definition I would say, just look up how the guy responsible for the game reacted himself.

The PC master race meme was never a joke, there is a lot of people that think they are exactly that.

I do feel there's a bit of nationalism at play here, I saw Baldur's Gate 3 was being review bombed by mostly Chinese users after the show because Swen presented the award which is insane, but Wukong was also the first Chinese title nominated and it's massive in China, I've a feeling there are some thinking westerners are ignoring the Chinese developed titles and being bias against them.

But it's mostly culture war nonsense as per usual. Wukong was the "anti-woke" videogame so they wanted Wukong to win to stick it to all these "woke studios" but now that Wukong hasn't won they'll just say how it's now a woke conspiracy, the journalists are working against our glorious "anti-woke" videogames like Wukong. It's all very pathetic and not really worth paying attention to, Astrobot deserved it, let them cry.

Wukong looks like a good game but I have no interest in it, Astrobot is a more than deserving winner, at least the expansion didn't win.

Astro Bot is about as unpolitical as it gets, you play as a robot. Metaphor is the other big winner, but Atlus isn't very woke either, just look at the depiction of gay people in Persona 5. I love the game, but if there's ever a homophobic game ranking, it should end up very high on the list. In general Japanese games aren't very progressive to begin with.

Anyways Astro Bot deserved the win and if they didn't win it Metaphor was still a much much better game according to Metacritic. The pc fanboys are and always have been an elitists bunch of crybabies.
