"Here is what Guerrilla had to say on their new roles within the company:"

"We have full confidence in our new leadership as they steer Guerrilla towards a bright future, expanding the world of Horizon with Aloy's next adventure and our exciting online project."

So Horizon 3 is coming if there were doubts.

The reaction to the moment in the Horizon DLC was as childish as it was unsurprising. It's honestly baffling how the existence of a group of people can make some people act like entitled idiots when a story even hints that one of the characters isn't straight. Utter stupidity.

Nowadays female characters with same sex love interests are allowed to do more than holding hands, so that's progress, review bombing or not.

The dogs bark, but the caravan goes on.

For me the ending of HFW was confirmation of 3 coming.

You know what sucks? If we (queer) Folks started acting the exact same way when a straight person is involved in a piece of media the same way they do whenever a queer person is represented, we'd just make matters worse. because then they'd feel like they were justified in it, acting like our very existence is somehow propaganda, and to them that'd just prove we were trying to force everyone to be gay or that we're acting like being straight is bad.

And sadly, they're still the majority.

To be clear, being straight is fine. only the most radical/outlandish queers actively have a problem with straight people. Most of us are just sick of this idea that straight is normal and anything else is abnormal and worthy of scorn, leading us to deal with this shit. where it's okay to treat us all as groomers because ...

You know what? fuck it. It's just so exhausting constantly having to go in circles defending our very existence. Believe it or not, MOST people are pro-queer. MOST people truly believe that you can and should do whatever works for you and leave it at that. it's just the very loud, very ignorant, very regressive, terrible people making it seem like it's more of an issue than it is. They know their views are on the way out so wanna cause as much of a stir as they can before their values are rightly snuffed out.

That part was spoiled for me.

So i was thinking about Media Molecule and I've decided that I want their next game to be both a LBP and Dreams sequel, LBP Dreams. PS5/ PC only. More streamlined vision as a LBP game that has expanded past being 2D (yes I know Sackboy adventures exists), is thematically LBP based (but with more artistic variations like also the Dreams feel), and Sackboy is front and centre instead of that Imp thing, oh and co-op.

I dunno... I feel like this allows them to continue both IP going forward and to allow Dreams to be rebooted/ retooled with a clear cut from the original.

A game that follows upon Dreams and LBP could have success. I would go with Sackboy Adventures as core of SP game and Dreams for the create your "DLC" and standalone "Dreams 2" going the route of roblox/minecraft with more PC tools where it is easier to develop the games.

Regarding the review bombing I'm pretty much conservative and do think the percentage of identity politics in media is much higher than their real world counterparts but also understand that some of that is overcompensation for all the time those topics were completely ignored or even antagonized. So When it is forced or explicit sexual relation I may frown, but most of the time it is just a relationship between people that doesn't make much difference if was straight or any other combination so I don't mind it and in the case of TLOU2 (can't comment on HFW DLC since I didn't play yet) I even stand for what they done as it all made a lot of sense (with exception of someone choosing identity over survival, like getting banned from the group because of "gender politics" as I believe in a apocalyptical scenario these would be low in the priority of people and probably wouldn't even be topics of discussion, as I also believe the reason we can discuss these a lot nowadays is because most of the basic needs and problems are more or less covered, but since it is a work of fiction I don't really mind they choosing it to show prejudice and things like that).

Just saw that Humanity game is by the people who made Rez and Tetris Effect. Just jumped up my watchlist quite a lot.
