Will finally update my list in a sec lol but just finished RE4R and ik its a little controversial here but god I adored it so much. Will be very hard to beat for me this year
With the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters announced for the week after next, I’m breaking my gaming fast early (2 months in).
First games back will be the Dragon Quest 1 and 2 remasters. I like 3 far more than those two, but the HD version is coming out later this year.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
1) Cyberpunk 2077 - PS5
2) Medium - PS5
3) Ghostwire Tokyo - PS5
4) Jedi Fallen Order - PS5
5) Forspoken - PS5
6) Shadow Warrior 2 - PS4
7) Hogwarts Legacy - PS5
8) Scarlet Nexus - PS5
9) Oninaki - PS5
10) The Pedestrian - PS4
11) The Forgotten City - PS5
12) Valkyrie Elysium - PS5

How is this? I was a big fan of Valkyrie Profile 2 and playing the demo of the above it wasn't like it at all but I wondered if I didn't get into the crux of the gameplay enough to give it a chance.
On my list:
The Fury said: So, Mass Effect 3, Star Wars Fallen Order. Guardian's of the Galaxy. FF9. Ghost of Tsushima, Borderlands 3, Prey |
Uncharted Lost Legacy.
Downloaded Thursday evening ready to play Friday, finished Friday. I know it wasn't going to be long, old Uncharted games never were. A Uncharted light really but good none the less. I'm a little confused as to why Uncharted seemed to ditch the idea of mystical aspects of it's series. 2 being the best of the bunch.
Story overall was good outside of an odd plot hole near the end.
Hmm, pie.
Just Finished: Gran Turismo 7 (PS5)
This is only to acknowledge that I have completed enough of the menu books to earn the Finale and see the end credits. I am far from finished with all this game has to offer. Gran Turismo Sport was my most played game on PS4 and I can easily see this game becoming the same on PS5. This is a great game to have installed on my PS5 and play even when I am more deeply focused on other games. Even when the racing action is intense and the competition is tough to beat there is just something so relaxing about laying this game. I enjoy playing the game at 1080p 60FPS. The graphics are gorgeous and the game runs smoothly. A lot of elements are carried over from GT Sport including a lot of the music. I welcome the return of the deep customization and performance tuning aspects that were missing in the last game. The game's structure built around the aforementioned Menu Books is strange and doesn't really bear any semblance to the life of a real race car driver. I'm usually one to rag on AAA games for not having full voice acting but I can see how hearing the repetitive dialogue and instructions spoken aloud to you repeatedly could get tedious and repetitive. I am not a car or motorsport enthusiast but this is one of my favorite series. It makes me enjoy collecting and customizing new cars. I do wish the presentation were a bit more streamlined. I wish I could jump into kart races, F1 races, Dirt Rally races etc. in a more straightforward manner. Even the Scapes photo mode can be rewarding and I enjoy taking pictures of places i have been lucky enough to travel to in real life. I have only dipped my toe into the online mode. I am glad there is splitscreen multiplayer though. I think GT needs to branch out into some open world or street racing gameplay. I recently had the chance to try the game on PSVR2. The level of detail is incredible. I am not sure I could race like that long term though. The game is as good as ever but where is the innovation?
Score: 8/10

I paid about £30 for it brand new and it came from trading another game in and my reward points.
Its a linear hack and slash game with very very mild exploration. The combat is decent, but lacks depth like DMC games.
It has light RPG mechanics that let you upgrade your chosen weapon(s) and add skills to your skill trees (attack, guard and support). I manage to upgrade all of them easily without having to grind.
There are a side quests which are more linear and the game is essentially go from location to location and kill everything.
You have support characters that you unlock as you complete the main story which all specialise in an element. The last summoned AI will imbue your weapon with their element which you can then match with the weakness of the enemy.
It's a Norse mythology game but the story is bland as is the art style and level design.
It's a 6-7 out of 10 game. It's pick up and play fun and you can skip most the story. I didn't mind playing it especially since I didn't actually pay much for it.
I preferred it to Scarlet Nexus which had a lot of back tracking and going over samey bits over and over. This isn't padded at all. I finished the game in around 12-13hrs.
If you find it cheap I would give it a go.
1. Super Mario Bros 3
2. Chrono Trigger (original)
3. SimEarth
4. Dragon Quest 1

Completed RE4R, fantastic game and definitely a GOTY contender. I decided to take a little break from the Survival Horror binge of 2023 and went back to some childhood favorites. Unfortunately, The Last of Us on PC is still busted lol, so I'll probably play another childhood favorite until more patches release.
6. Resident Evil 4 Remake (PC)
7. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (NSO)
8. Donkey Kong Country (NSO)
