While most of the Wii U's top games are on Switch, much the same goes for the PS3/PS4 to be honest.
Both have some gems that never made it over; Puppeteer, Resistance and Killzone on PS3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Woolly World, and Splatoon on Wii U.

There are much more ps3 games that are on ps4 but also many more not on ps4 compare to wii u/switch simply because ps3 library was so much larger.  Ff13, mgs4, tekken6, gta 4, red dead redemption, God of war and infamous series probably won't get ported to ps4 since its too late. Those are some of the games I want to play on ps4

The library in general is many times larger, so yeah, but a big chunk of PS3's major games made the jump like the Uncharted trilogy, TLOU, Mass Effect trilogy, Bioshock Trilogy, GTA5, God of War 3, the Assassin's Creed games, Tomb Raider, Heavy Rain, etc.

Nonetheless those games still count for PS3, just as games like BOTW, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, etc are still present and great on Wii U in spite of later ports to Switch.

Not really, PS3 has a lot more games locked to only the PS3.

JRPGS like Tales of Xillia, Disgaea 3

Platforming like Littlebigplanet series and Ratchet and Clank

Racing like Motorstorm and Gran Turismo 5 and 6

FPS like Resistance and Killzone

3rd person games like MGS4, Sly Cooper, and Infamous 1 and 2

A bunch of indie games or unique games like Puppeteer and Tokyo Jungle

Wii U might have 1 game for every 2 PS3 has. And these games aren't just bottom feeder games, a lot of them are highly rated.

I still stand by most of the PS3's top titles got ported, but my point was that this doesn't discount them being worthwhile additions to the PS3 library.

TLOU is still a credit to the PS3 just BOTW or Bayonetta 2 or Mario Kart 8 are still a credit to the Wii U.

I just think the extent is different. While it was a significant portion for Wii U, it was a much smaller portion for the PS3. Even just counting exclusives. There are also a lot of multiplatform PS3 games that never made it to 8th gen.

True, it's just that for me a great game is a great game regardless of whether it is exclusive; when I judge these two systems, I'm not going to discount the Wii U games that came to Switch, just as I'm not going to dismiss TLOU or the Uncharted games just because they got ported to PS4.

Yeah I agree though. Leaving out Valkyria Chronicles would be a crime to the PS3. (Available on Switch and PS4, check it out!)

I’m generally a positive guy, but I had both of these consoles and didn’t really like either. :D
I definitely liked the Wii and PS2 a lot more, and the Switch a lot more than Wii U. I also liked both Vita and 3DS.
If all the Sony consoles I owned, PS3 was my least favourite, and of all the Nintendo consoles I owned Wii U was my second least favourite (above Gamecube). I avoided playing Wii U a lot of the time because I didn’t want to wait the 26 minutes it took to load… or, at least that’s what it felt like. While loading times were drastically increased through the generation, too little too late.
On the shallow side, both consoles were physically ugly, especially compared to their predecessors that were both sleek as fuck. Wii and PS2 (Slimline) are arguably the two best looking home consoles of all time.

I didn’t have an Xbox 360.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Always a pleasure to meet a fellow Gamecube disliker ;)

Welp it's because we all knew, the GBA was the superior console
