  • Sales Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2021 - 35,000

Switch won by a landslide PS5 and Xbox Series basically tied.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I guess for the PS5 Europe is gonna get the short end of the stick for BF week. Hopefully it's not the entire holiday season.

Incredible hardware sales for the thre of them, with both the Switch ans Series having their best week of the year and PS5 having the second best. it's kind of scary how popular BF has become here and also how quickly.

Software wise, good hold for Pokemon, and of course, Let's Dance appears once again now that X.mas is coming. Also, that Fifa for the Switch in third place saddens me.

Thanks for the numbers, polofresco.

I doubt things will improve for the holidays. Sony owns the european console market and they not only know it, but also uses it to their advantage, because they know that people will wait until they can get a PS5 before buying an Xbox (Switch is on another league).

It certainly looks that way for now going by Spain and the UK. Theoretically US sales should be massive then, unless they are just generally having trouble shipping out their consoles fast enough. Would certainly be unfortunate if that is the case after they chose to stockpile so heavily.

That's an ideology that will cost Sony in the long run, assuming its not just now. Prioritizing other markets over any other just means they have to go to other sources, after enough time.

Have to wait on US stock numbers but it seems highly likely to me that Xbox outsold PS for black friday this year, globally

True. But at the same time, if you have a region that you control and another one that's heavily disputed, the decision seems simple, even if there are repercussions in the long run.

Yeah, I dont think it's an issue of Sony prioritizing any market over the other. Japan is randomly "prioritized" over European countries in some periods (like now, even though Ragnarok is geared towards western players).

It might be related to PS5's packaging size. Rumors have it that Sony is launching a redesigned model later next year.
