Super Smash Bros is over 5M physical. It is the second game to do so and I think it won't be not the last.

Mario Kart 8 will surpass Super Smash Bros soon, just a few months away.

PS5 selling about a million a year so far, though we can expect that to increase a lot once supply improves and big guns like Final Fantasy 16 and the next Monster Hunter release.

Switch though is on a whole 'nother planet, haven't seen domination like this since the DS.

It is fair to say will get another taste of that domination next week when we get the official numbers for Pokémon Scarlett/Violet release. Also if we're going by the initial reports of the monstrous pre-orders it has + the record breaking performance it had in the UK, I think it is fair to assess, the hardware sales will explode as well.

Btb, can't wait to see that Kirby and the Forgotten Land boost during the Holiday period. Might breach the 1M bar in physical before it reached it's first year !

Yeah this week's numbers are most likely going to be absolutely insane. Hopefully they were able to secure enough stock to take advantage of the boost.

Apparently 4m in Japan for Pokemon, SV could actually topple AC as the top seller in the regions history.

Wow! That's insane, it goes to show people were really thirsty for some change in the Pokémon formula.

Look at that PS4 boost!

I'm guessing due to GoW but why did everyone wait till the week after tha game launched? (maybe Sony found an extra 5k to ship?)

It's not due to GOW. GOW is not big in Japan. Sony most likely found PS4s in a warehouse and sent them out. Or a retailer held on PS4s and just put them out for sale.
