The new GP ultimate price point is plain stupid IMO. Especially since now no option covers the now vacant 20$/months spot.
For me since premium now include PC I'll downgrade to this for sure. If there was an option at 20$ for premium+day 1 I'd consider it but for now it's going to be premium.

I'll see if I can find some deals for Ultimate, but I'm not paying $30. I'll likely downgrade to premium or essential.

With that, another service gets added to the unsubscribe list. I don’t see why I should have to pay because YOU (MS) decided to include two other sub services into Ultimate, two services that I’ll never use.

That is not the reason (just a band aid, to excuse the price hike).
The reason is they want people to buy their games.
Mostly just CoD (which is why this is once again happening before a CoD launch).
They must have crunched numbers, and not been entirely happy with the results last time.

That's why they are doing 6-12 months delay of their own games into Gamepass Premium now (instead of Day1). 
(while excluding Call of Duty games, for even longer period than that)

They don't want to give Call of Duty away for free to gamepass users.

The head of Xbox, Sarah Bond giving an interview at TGS talking about how much revenue and how profitable gamepass is just days before the biggest price hike it's had is so tone deaf.

What on earth was she thinking lol.

What I also dislike is that the extra services from Ubisoft and EA don't even have Xbox achievements when you play them on PC. May be stupid but this also decreases the value for me because you want those achievements when you are in that eco-system.

But I'm fine for 3 years now with grabbing Ultimate keys before the price hike. Let's see how it will look in some years, maybe MS will have a decent option by then for someone who wants to have the best cloud gaming option and the best Game Pass experience without paying for other services and shit for specific games like Fortnite (I doubt it)

Hmm, 360 dollars a year for GP Ultimate. That is going to be a very hard pill to swallow for a lot of people for a game service. I know myself, I do not play 360 dollars of games per year and if I did, I probably would rather just buy them than role the dice on a service. I believe this is probably going to make me drop GP, MS is pricing things out of my market. It was fun while it lasted but its time to go.

I bought it on the last day it was on sale but next time it's on sale again I would recommend everyone to buy FANTASIAN Neo Dimension it's a great turn based JRPG especially since it started out as a mobile game and it has one of Nobuo Uematsu best scores.

They also got rid of the gamepass DLC discounts for most games including first party...
