We're #1! We're #1! We're #1!

Coincidentally, this momentous occasion lines up with an informal giveaway I've planned for my American Arcadia review. Here's a quick rundown for those who're unfamiliar:

-One raffle entry per user (# of comments doesn't matter)
-Keep within the guidelines (obviously)
-Don't need to ass-kiss or anything

Winner gets an Xbox or Steam gift code of American Arcadia! I'd like to keep it between those two platforms for the sake of ease. I don't see any means of directly purchasing a code on PlayStation Store or EShop atm. I'll probably close the raffle this coming Sunday.

Damn.  No one wants a shot at a free game?  :(

That is the ultimate question! Sony only has direct ability to ban if an Xbox device connects to PSN. Otherwise, they would need to work with Valve, Epic, and even GOG on a solution. Which would be a difficult one considering all Xbox devices at their core will be Windows, and I doubt those storefronts would have any interest in helping Sony with a solution.

I mean, I know I’m planning on swapping the version of Windows on my gaming PC to this new Xbox version when it becomes available, and what is Sony going to do? It’s a PC I built myself.

Yoshida described as Sony games on PC as “almost like printing money” there’s no going back for them. And unless Sony decides to make their storefront and games only available on Linux and Mac there’s nothing they can do about it.

And they're not likely to make their own store, because that's quite an investment in and of itself, plus PC gamers HATE every time a new store gets introduced lol. Literally the only reason the Epic store is even still around is Fortnite and a crazy amount of spending on epic store exclusives.

It looks like next generation is going to be something like IOS vs Android, where Xbox OS is the android of consoles and Sonu is the iPhone. Unless Sony make its own app and make undownloadable on Xbox OS, Xbox is going to have an advantage, in my opinion.

Unlike Apple, I can see Sony selling the next playstation at a loss because it is the norm for consoles. Microsoft cannot do that or it will piss off other console makers who plan to ise Xbox OS.

Why is it when I play a game now a fucking menu pops up? It's annoying. Of course I want to play it why the fuck else am I selecting it? Why is it 2 steps now to play a game? Can I turn this shit off?

EDIT: Found the off switch. What a stupid and pointless feature.

This week, Samsung Electronics announced that it had partnered with Electronic Arts and Xbox to bring ‘EA SPORTS FC 25’ to their Samsung Gaming Hub software across their select supported television and monitor models. Players who have not subscribed to Xbox Game Pass before can redeem two months of free Game Pass Ultimate through the Samsung Promotions app to get started playing the Game Pass catalogue of games without a console—just grab your favourite controller (Xbox, DualShock), connect it to your device, and viola. Welcome to Xbox Cloud magic.

Gotta say Metaphor: ReFantazio doesn't catch me nearly as much as Persona 5.
After roughly 8 hours of gameplay, pretty much everything seems worse. Main characters are boring thus far (at least the protagonist isn't silent), the fantasy world setting is meh at best, the artstyle is depressing and grey and the graphics themselves also look worse due to lots of aliasing going on.

Not sure if I'm going to finish it. Already feels like a drag.

Of course, it was the feature... :)
Sorry but you are making this too easy

Honestly, I agree. I finished it, but I lost my patience with it A LOT quicker than Persona 5. Persona 5 did get rather long in the tooth by the end where I was looking forward to getting done with it, but with Metaphor, I started longing for it to be over when I was only like halfway through. Kind of a bummer, cus I thought that the setting would actually speak to me more, and initially I was vibing with it. But after the first 15-20 hours or so they were clearly kinda outta ideas here, and so this world of fantasy felt a hell of a lot less fantastical than the world of Persona.

The fact this has a mid 90s meta is CRAZY. This is a posterchild 7/10 game.

Oh I feel you both should not try FFXVI then, another game that got hyped up by reviewers but with many players wondering why it is good?

Finished that game last night and I almost got physically sick with it, it went on and on and on with silly fetch quests...
