Well, is that as in including the sales from the week of launch (end of May), or after that, as in June or later?

WiiFit is going to be a huge console mover, but it really depends on how well GTA IV does on the 360 and how many consoles it moves.

 I predict the week directly after WiiFit launch the Wii will pass 360 in NA sales.



Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

Everyone not seeing massive wii sales coming in May, or is it just that everyone is expecting hardware boosts because of GTA4 and other 360 releases that will be just as massive?

Wii -  68 million, 90 million - Wii HD in late 2011 - $249

360 - 38 million, 47 million - 720 in late 2010 - $299

PS3 - 31 million, 43 million - slim PS3 in mid 2009 - $299

Remember, Reggie said that months ago... prior to Nintendo announcing increases in production, etc...

With the toys-r-us ad, I am tempted to say prior... but being outvoted 14 to 1, I guess I will stick with the week of...


I didn't think this was that much of a John Lucas prediction. Only has to sell 830K in 5 weeks, which will include the release of MK, WiiFit, and Toy-r-us more in-store consoles than ever before ad....
