It's been an absolute shitshow the past two days, Lol. Can't be that much longer for her.

How It's Going:

Theresa May Resigns as Conservative Leader
Boris Johnson Resigns as Conservative Leader
77% of Britons now disapprove of the government, the highest in 11 years of YouGov tracking data

Government announces the fracking vote is no longer a confidence vote - because of the scale of the expected rebellion by Tory MPs. Truss could not afford to expel them. It is no longer clear what authority she has over her party. Extraordinary. Yes (yawn), another u-turn

Massive Tory row going on in the lobby, literally trying to force people through. Lots of anger
— Jess Phillips MP (@jessphillips) October 19, 2022
I’ve never seen scenes like it at the entrance to a voting lobby. Tories on open warfare. Jostling and Rees Mogg shouting at his colleagues. Whips screaming at Tories.
— Ian Murray MP (@IanMurrayMP) October 19, 2022
They are done and should call a general election.
Two Tory whips dragging people in. Shocking.
Just watched the Deputy Prime Minister practically pick up a hesitant Tory MP and march him into the Government lobby. Astonishing.

The Chief Whip has now resigned. Wendy Morton, since you asked.
— Andrew Neil (@afneil) October 19, 2022
BREAKING: Tory MPs now claiming that chief whip Wendy Morton and her deputy have both resigned - after fracking vote shambles. Total chaos engulfing govt.
— Pippa Crerar (@PippaCrerar) October 19, 2022
Extraordinary stuff happening here during the vote on fracking which is apparently “not a confidence vote”. I’ve just witnessed one Tory member in tears being manhandled into the lobby to vote against our motion to continue the ban on fracking @BBCNewsnight @PaulBrandITV

That’s the deputy chief whip https://t.co/xC1e1Ls5V7

Already the first jokes about Truss and Kwarteng start appearing.
Why did Kwasi Kwarteng fly back to the UK in First Class when he got summoned back urgently from the meeting of finance ministers in Washington?

Hearing of a lot more no confidence letters being sent in by MPs tonight. MPs are absolutely furious. Here is one message: pic.twitter.com/JiDnZPj0WY

MPs variously describing tonight's voting process as "total carnage" and "utter madness", with Cabinet minister Jacon Rees-Mogg reportedly shouting "it's not a confidence vote" and Tory colleagues apparently telling him "fuck off"
— Rachel Wearmouth (@REWearmouth) October 19, 2022
I've always wanted to tell Jacob Rees-Mogg to fuck off, that must be an amazing feeling.

Come back to PlayStation
I'm told Wendy Morton walked into the corridor shouting "I'm no longer the chief whip" moments before the fracking vote took place, with Liz Truss just metres away

British Government Right Now.

One Conservative MP told me the PM was so busy dealing with the Chief Whip’s resignation that she missed the vote.
— Carl Dinnen (@carldinnen) October 19, 2022
She missed the damn vote, Lol.
MP texts: “The The texts I am getting from MPs right now. It’s ending now”.
— (((Dan Hodges))) (@DPJHodges) October 19, 2022
She's done, it's a matter of when not if.
This certainly lends support to my "The Tories have no idea what they're doing" hypothesis.
What are the chances of a general election being called? I'm probably expecting a bit too much integrity and self-reflection from that crowd.
Somehow, I don't think Liz Truss is quite going to live up to her aspirations of 'Thatcher 2.0." On the plus side, she has lasted a bit longer than U.S President William Henry Harrison, but she didn't have a respiratory illness that's easily treatable with modern antibiotics to deal with.
THE LETTUCE WINS!!!! LMFAO!!!!
STRONG AND STABLE.
