After seeing some really good releases of retro games making a come back as well as spiritual successors to some legendary IPs. It would be nice to see these studios work on some fan favorites under XBox who own a plethora of Classic IPs. So i made a list of some classics that would do wonders under the right hands.

So lets start, and if anyone knows any other studio that could do a better job with an IP please list them.

The Callisto Protocol

Developer: Striking Distance Studios

Project: Halo Monolisa (A Violent Dead Space inspired Halo Cartoon)

Yooka Layee / Banjo Kazooie

Developer: Playtonic

Project: Banjo Kazooie

TMNT Shredders Revenge / Battletoads

Developer: Tribute Games

Would like to see the devs from Shredders Revenge make a Battletoads game.

The Devs from Ex-Dead Space make the Horror Halo story, the Monolisa.

Also be nice to see Playtonic back making Banjo Kazooie.



Would like to see Xbox release a game.



So is this to say MS chose the wrong devs to do Battletoads and removing Rare from Banjo?

I though you had liked Battletoads.

And from what I know Yoka Laylee is considered a bomb.

How is this thread different from the one Leynos linked you?

Its focus on Xbox IPs.

Well, the original Yooka-Laylee maybe is. But The Impossible Lair is probably the best 2D platform I've played last gen.

Not saying they chose the wrong devs. Something is sometimes better than nothing.

First of all, Xbox was appoached by Dalala Studios not the other way around. I did like Battletoads, could it be better? Of course. Seeing Streets of Rage 4 and Shredders Revenge shows me that Battletoads is riped for that Dev.

Rare arent a platform company anymore, they focus on much bigger and more ambitious products now. Whos to say if Rare made a Banjo game, that it would be any good?

Id prefer Playtonic since they know the formula well. Yooka Layee might of bombed, does not mean Banjo will.

I wouldnt be suprised if Bethesda take the FreeLancer IP.

As for Killer Instinct.. it would be amazing if Iron Galaxy can continue with the IP. Big shoes to fill considering how good KI 2013 delivered.
