Is it Wii U VC? Is it running in normal Wii U mode? Can you play it without Wiimote and the Sensor Bar?

Or is it running in Wi mode like any other Wii game on Wii U?

It does run on Wii mode, yes. But that doesn't change the fact that the game is not exclusive to the Wii. It was re released on the Wii U eShop many years after its original Wii release.

PS1 games on the PS Store run natively on PS3 systems. Don't they count as re releases?
