Damn, seems like the next step of Russia's war could start soon. Belarus is claiming that Ukraine tried to strike Belarusian installations in Belarus but that they could shoot down all missiles and Ukraine is preparing for an invasion of Belarusian troops now.
If that happens I hope our politicians wake up and stop pretending as if some defensive weapons and old soviet tanks will be enough and realize that Russia will probably do what Europe is so scared about to do themselves. Send troops of other countries into Ukraine to win. At least they are already working on the propaganda needed to do it.

Thing is as well, Russian troops used Belarus as a staging area to invade Kyiv and Russia still has troops near the Belarus-Ukraine border. Ukraine attacking them is would still be a defensive measure.

Also, the notion that Ukraine would invade Belarus right now is absurd. Like Ukraine needs to drag another adversary into the conflict right now. Seems like another point aimed at Russia’s internal audience than anyone with any common sense.

Tbf Belarus have been sabre rattling for months.

think Belarus Lukashenko won't attack, I think he's simply trying to do as much as possible without letting down daddy Putin for not doing enough, Putin obviously wants Belarus in Ukraine but Lukashenko is afraid to send his troops in due to coup fears and likely the fact that they wouldn't be much of a Belarus army to protect Lukashenko if they started a fight with Ukraine.

So I think these threats are simply a way to keep Ukraine preoccupied, unfortunately, Ukraine has to take them seriously, there is a chance still that Belarus could enter so that means Ukraine will have to keep a significant number of troops near the Belarusian border and in Kyiv still just in case and that is how Lukashenko is contributing to the war and helping Putin.

Would certainly be a decision alright to pick a war with Ukraine only 2 years after huge anti-government protests were just held in Belarus.

Above - Words cannot express my level of contempt for that person (and I use the word person loosely).

I will never understand why people think republicans were ever patriotic when they keep saying traitorous shit like that.

Of course Putin is the bad guy he invaded Ukraine, This Republican I think she's one forgot who invaded who?

Cute and honest Sega Saturn fan, also noone should buy Sega grrrr, Sega for life.

Lysychansk and the neighboring cities fell really fast considering how long Ukraine could defend Sievierodonetsk. I wonder if Russia massively increased their forces there the last few days/weeks or If Ukraine just didn't try that much this time

I just hope Russia hasn't captured too many soldiers and equipment and that Ukrainians could fortify somewhere else very well.

Let's hope they won't reach Sloviansk and Kramatorsk too fast now. Behind that are only small villages for many miles.

I think it wouldn't really happen that fast unless the Ukrainians withdrew.

And I think Ukrainians had good reason to withdraw because of the risk of encirclement to avoid another Mariopol.

At least I hope that was the case.

Maybe a change in strategy now that they have MLRS and other longer range artillery? They're able to inflict attrition onto Russia without having to engage in urban warfare, better to have alive troops than keep a city.
