Aside from the sentiment of "well yeah I occasionally get dragged over broken glass, but at least that's the only problem I'm having", it's NOT the only problem.  The 2nd worst 360 issue was the disc scratching, although I believe they fixed that, and 3rd IMO is the insane amount of noise, which has definitely (mostly) been fixed.  It's a fucking testament to the games and their fanbases that the 360 has any community goodwill left at all. 

The reason "Sony fanboys" focus on RRoD so much is because the problem is so devastating, so widespread, and is taking Microsoft so damn long to actually resolve. 

Side note:  Yeah, I actually would like a list of PS3 problems as long as it's not stuff like "costs too much LOLOLOL".  Then tell us how many PS3s have those problems.  Do you have a similar list for the Wii?  And how common are the PS3 vs. Wii issues? 

RRoD.....I've seen two occasions. One was a friend of mines whose broke down, but his mom called M$, and literally forced them to give him a new console. The scene was quite funny, because it fit the stereotypical "She's about to go black on you" lol, but what's a mother who just dropped $400 supposed to do.

The second incident was with another friend of mine, and a closer friend to the guy whose 360 died. It was a rather quick RRoD and was handled with swiftly.

Another issue wasn't RRoD, but just crappy hardware altogether. My best friend's 360 had to get shipped back because it kept destroying games....took 3 weeks to get it back.

Another one was when my buddy bought a Nyko intercooler, and it gave his 360 4 flashing rings....so it wasn't death, but he couldn't use a product he just bought.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that M$ made a faulty product, and seeing as this is a discussion about the RRoD, I better not get jumped for talking about said faultiness.

You have to put yourselves in our position. Imagine someone posting a thread in the Nintendo forum asking for suggestions of good shooters to play on the Wii. Then someone comes along and tells the person to sell his Wii and get an Xbox 360 and when people start getting annoyed he starts bashing the Wii and Nintendo. Now imagine that's basically the only message they have in every thread in the Nintendo forum. They never actually add anything else to the conversations, they just bash the system and it's games and try to convince people to sell it and buy another system. Wouldn't you get tired of it and pissed off after awhile?

Maybe Gazz isn't guilty of doing it to that extent but there are more than enough people doing it where it feels like a battle just to talk about the 360 in that forum. Some of us understand that some people hate Microsoft and the 360, we get it, it just would be nice for the people that actually do enjoy the games, Xbox Live, etc, and that want to help people with hardware problems or questions, to be able to do it without what amounts to constant trolling.

While that is true, Legend has a point. It seems as if the ratio of troll posts to quality posts is highest in the Microsoft forum. It gets pretty damned bad in there.

I will say that the RRoD is very old news.  It's pretty much guaranteed that everyone on these forums already knows about it; constantly harping on it is like opening every conversation with "Hey look, there's a bright circle in the sky!"  The only appropriate time to mention that the sun exists is when the sun is relevant to the conversation or when people start implying that perhaps it isn't so bright and hot after all.

Sorry but overpricing makes for hell when a console has no games.

1) Overpricing

2) Compared to 360 and wii library, games dont exist. MGS4, when it comes out.

The main point ought to be the games factor. it has some great games to be sure (GT, MGS4, Little Big Planet, MGS4) but only a few steller(...) titles have yet been released. In all truth, should Sony lower the price and make some games that AREN'T sequals (or triquals, or quadruquils(?) ) they have one amazing console. However, Cells power has yet to be seen, and because of the difficulty of its hardware, game production costs skyrocket. I suppose the problem isn't the console--its the best out there (debatable) but unless the people BACKING the console stop making stupid decisions about it (MGS4 is the only exclusive amazing title) then I still find its faults very problematic.
