Forums - Nintendo - Why nintendo is regressing in quality

Honestly, where is the next Mario Kart? The Switch only got Mario Kart 8 which was on the wiiU! Where's the switch one at?

What about Mario Kart Live?

Jokes aside, at this point I think the next Mario Kart will release on the next Nintendo console. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling, and it doesn't look like a new one is coming next year or so.

This title is very misleading. Why say Nintendo when talking about one franchise.

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

OP claims Mario Kart Wii is where both it and the series peaked. Troll topic.

Okay, since this is just about MarioKart and not Nintendo as a whole like the thread title says, I will just say that Mario Kart 7 is always overlooked. Many of the systems people love about 8 we're introduced in 7. Mario Kart 7 was the most revolutionary Kart, in my opinion, because of the flying/underwater mechanics, plus the 3d glasses-less experience was amazing.

Mario Kart Wii is utter dogshit. With the exception of Mario Kart DS, The series became mediocre starting with Double Dash, and didn't become great again until MK8. Wii is an unbalanced mess.

This. All of this. Karts are clearly inferior to bikes, making more than half of the available rides useless. Heavy characters are far and away superior to light and medium characters, making more than half of the racers useless. Never has a racing game punished you so hard for being good. "Oh, you've dominated the race based on your skill and knowledge of the track? Can't have that, let's give every single person in last place a blue shell for the final two minutes."

Seriously, in online races, I developed a strategy to hang out near the top of the pack for for first 80 percent of a race while trying to hold onto mushrooms, then using them to either get into first place during the last half of the final lap, or praying that I could get the timing down not to get ganked by a couple of blue shells by using mushrooms to barely dodge them. If I spend most of a race/lap in first, then I'm pulling blue shell shrapnel out of my ass by the end.

Who's making the "Why Kirby's posts are regressing in quality" thread?

lol forgot that game even existed. I think it belongs in the same lines as the Arcade Mario karts from the mid 2000's. A novelty in the series but doesn't count for or against it.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

You people hating on Double Dash...

I don't think I have ever, across any video game, had as much fun as I did with my friends when we were kids, pairing up and constantly trying to check the other two with the person on the back. The trolling potential in that game makes teabagging in Halo look like a joke. What gloriously hilarious times we had with Mariokart Double dash!

“Mario Kart Wii was peak Mario Kart and peak Nintendo.”

PfffffHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!

MKWii trolls the hell out of anyone that is good at the game. Everyone in the bottom half of the current race is damn near guaranteed to get a blue shell at every item block, to the point that being in first for too long feels like a penalty instead of an achievement.
