Jokes aside, at this point I think the next Mario Kart will release on the next Nintendo console. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling, and it doesn't look like a new one is coming next year or so.

lol forgot that game even existed. I think it belongs in the same lines as the Arcade Mario karts from the mid 2000's. A novelty in the series but doesn't count for or against it.
