Halo Infinite has been the stand out for me this year.
I pwrsonally played a lot of retro games this year. If looking at all the games I played this year, Steins Gate Elite would have to be tops. But if i was to look at games that released this year, Ratchet: Rift Apart would have to be the best.

So far SMT V.
Scarlet Nexus and MH Rise come very close.

Tormented Souls
I've had an old-school survival horror itch for a long time, and this game scratched it perfectly. An attractive female protagonist? Check. Fixed camera angles? Check. Lots of puzzles? Check. A mansion filled with monsters? Check. A creepy storyline? Check. Cheesy voice acting? Check.
Deathloop, game was a surprise this year and it was a great experience.
Have only played REVIII, Scarlet nexus, Bravely Default 2 and SMTV. I pick RE out of those. Very poor year for me overall. Next year looking much better.

Oh, Halo Infinite. And I don't even care about the multiplayer, it feels so good to genuinely be excited to want to play a Halo game again, it truly feels like I'm playing Halo for the first time again. Kudos to 343 for finally making a game worthy of the Halo name. But, 2nd place is RE8. And I'll throw Mass Effect Legendary Edition in 3rd because, why not. It's Mass Effect
