Forums - Sales Discussion - Black Friday Week Sales - Switch Tops 97M, PS5 15M, XS 10M

Eurogamer reporting same for Germany and Europe.

Also BDSP is the fastest selling NSW game in Germany so far.

Maybe we'll get USA PR later today as well (or tomorrow, going by last year's schedule).

Well there we go! I'm guessing Italy sent the PR out to Italy outlets way before anyone else got info.

Black Friday week biggest Switch week ever in Germany too. Basically the exact same PR statement like in Italy but with Germany. Biggest week ever for hardware and software in Germany and Europe.

Edit: forgot to mention: BD/SP is apparently the fastest selling Switch game in Germany ever.

So:

Europe best week ever
UK best week ever  (estimated 110k?)
Italy best week ever
Germany best week ever
Spain - 35k

is basically the info we have.

And NSW software record was set in BDSP launch week, only to be topped in Black Friday week as the new #1. Makes it sound like Week 46 was pretty healthy hardware wise as I am sure they put as much as they could on shelves to align with the Pokemon launch.

That is what it looks like. If only Nintendo released this a couple of days ago. I will wait for NPD numbers before making adjustments. Easier for me to do them all at once. Our numbers are good for the UK and Spain. So it is rest of Europe that needs adjusting.

lol for what its worth, Bruno on IB said let's wait for updated Spain numbers as well due to the 35K not lining up with Nintendo's reporting.  We'll see where that goes.

But if US has a beat, we might actually get close to a 2M week.  EUR bump alone is going to get this week closer to 1.8M.

Pokémon BD/SP sold 6mil first week. Didn't see anything about it here yet.

There really is no way to boycott The Pokemon Co through sales, isn't there? If even a poor efford like this is going to reach 10m before the end of the month, why would they ever need to change things?

Sword/Shield, Sun/Moon, Ultra Sun/Moon were all ones I thought they did a lazy job on, yet all three sold fantastic.

Thank you. I hadn't thought about that for Spain. I am still waiting on my account on IB to be approved. If true it is definitely best to wait that extra couple of days before making adjustments.

i cant remember the exact wording but could that 35k been mistranslated for oled only?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It definitely wasn't a mistake and wasn't OLED numbers. https://www.gamereactor.es/ventas-espana-nintendo-switch-septuplica-el-black-friday-negro-de-ps5/

Google Translate:

And we're going to talk about consoles, starting with the queen of the year and Black Friday: Nintendo Switch. The hybrid has placed 35,000 units in week 47 , with almost total dominance of a 2019 model that has swept the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and NSO pack (23,000 of the 27,000 2019 consoles have been from this pack), while Switch OLED it has slowed down a bit, touching 6,000 sales.

  • Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2021 Sales - 35,000
  • Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2020 Sales - 50,000
  • Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2019 Sales - 60,000
  • Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2018 Sales - 45,000

so thats without the lite?

It says 27,000 normal, 6,000 OLED, 35,000 combined.

So lite would be the missing 2,000.
