Forums - Sales Discussion - Famitsu sales: Week 48, 2021 - (22nd Nov - 28th Nov)

From the xbox store: Capcom themselves tag it as a Role playing game.

Nintendo Eshop: Capcom themselves call Monster Hunter Rise an RPG

So there it is from the company themselves, and we already know many users call them RPG's because they are listed as such on both Wikipedia and by Steam tags.

So both Capcom and users call them rpgs.

Edit: and for good measure from the bottom of (monsterhunterworld.com)

LMAO

JRPG = Japanese RPG. MHW is a JRPG as is Dark Souls.

How many of you failed reading comprehension at school? I said if it breaks out (which I think it can).

Also miss us with reporting out of date figures like its a LTD. It sold 5 million in 3.5 months.

FF7R was the fastest selling FF of all time. SE made so much money they're tripling down on FF7R projects.

Every game in a series can become the fastest selling it means bugger all in a market known for being front loaded especially as VIIR's last shipment was a reported 5.7m or so way down from the 15-20m people such as yourself predicted and also down from the 8m XV sold remember when you were telling people 10m is the floor for VIIR and will reach that on PS4 alone this is what your break out predictions turn out to be far from actual reality. Unless you can provide shipment data the last reported number is what we'll go by and ofcourse they have to triple down on the VIIR projects they had already committed to it so will lose money otherwise.

Only one game can be the FASTEST selling in the series and that's FF7R.

You seem to be unable to comprehend how time works.

FF7R sold 5M in 3.5 months. We have no other numbers, so stop acting like that's the LTD.

Yeah dude, SE hates FF7R so much that they not only extended the exclusivity period, not only had one of their best financial quarters, not only had their fastest selling FF of all time on one platform, but also created more projects from it.

Wyrdness def knows more about SE than SE does lmao

Before 7R it was FFXV that was the fastest selling before XV it was XIII and so on the feat of being fastest selling doesn't equal to best performing especially as we've seen 7R was last reported to be at 5m or so over a year ago with no new updates mean while XV sold 8.9m, any new game can become the fastest selling as we're in the most front loaded era of gaming with bigger marketing.

You know what it means if we don't get any more numbers? It means the game's sales have either halted or come to a crawl that it barely makes a difference so unless you can come up with actual legit numbers the last reported numbers are what we're going by and the actual reality as believe me we would have heard about it by now if 7R had hit the fantasized mark of 20m which was never going to happen and was a prediction made by you when your ACNH prediction turned out to be horribly wrong, SE's best quarter was driven not by 7R but by XIV which is now the most profitable FF game in history as said by SE themselves.

I certainly know more than SE than you do although that's not hard as all anyone needs to do is simply look at reality to achieve that.

BD/SP being ahead of Sword and Shield despite not being all new games is a great result and shows just how deep DS nostalgia runs in Japan, and likely worldwide as well.
It's definitely in with a shot at passing Ruby/Sapphire to become the highest selling remakes in series history.

FF7R - 3 days = 3.5M
MHR - 3 days = 4M

FF7R - 3.5 months = 5M(+1.5M)
MHR - 2 months = 7M(+3M)

Final Fantasy 7 Remake's leg is weak. You need to calm down and accept the fact FF7R is no longer the best selling exclusive 3rd party JRPG as MHR is currently the king of that title.

Go buy more Shin Megami Tensei V Japan, now !

Monster Hunter is not an RPG not has it ever been. I didn't even thing this was thing until the TGA's put MHR into the RPG category. Like how is MH a JRPG?

I don't think Monster Hunter Rise is an RPG neither.
