The biggest surprise for me is Super Mario Party, 16m is insane. Curious to see what Superstars will sell, it's FAR superior but the timing doesnt bode well.

Superstars definitely won't outsell Super, but 10mil should be possible  especially with the good word of mouth.

For sure. Probably 104 million.

Looking ahead...

~125 million next year

>140 million 2023

Switch 2 in 2024 and Switch maybe hitting 150 million that year

...

Definitely has a shot at DS and PS2

Still shocked Nintendo never added significant free or paid DLC to Odyssey and Super Mario Party. Look at those numbers. Odyssey is the best-selling 3D Mario game ever by a massive margin and Super Mario Party is the sales peak of its series.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Skyward Sword HD numbers show how badly the original was hurt by releasing when the Wii was all but abandoned on its deathbed.

Ring Fit headed for potentially over 20 million lifetime which is crazy for a new IP.

Splatoon 2 sales now more than 2.5 times Splatoon 1 sales, very healthy growth for a young franchise.

Interesting tidbit: Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon topped 9mil and is now at 9.04mil and the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8 actually moved another 10k units and is now at 8.46mil.

it's so pleasing that someone pays attention to this data too.      A new milestone, the  difference grew further with the previous best selling pokemon third version  (which was Pokemon BW2 8.52m. Well, a singificant amount of  that might be bereft sales of Pokemon S/M.                                                                                    Also Super Mario 3D Land (more interesting tidbit) has finally surpassed Super Mario Galaxy by selling 30k in the past quarter 12.81-12.84m (they were tied in the last quarter) becoming the second best selling ever 3D Mario title ( Will it hit 13m). MK7 which was the leggiest 3DS game, selling under 3D LAND (just 10k) worries me that reaching 19m milestone won't happen as I was wishing ( expected, 3D LAND is like a new game while anent MK7 you can play MK8 and don't feel a void)...

Mario kart 8 DX is going to be the best selling game ever (standalone and not heavily bundled), previously was Super Mario Bros (40,24.m).

Super Mario Bros was actually very heavily bundled.  In the US it was not in the Deluxe Set, which is the one I got and I went ahead and bought SMB anyway.  But almost everyone else I knew bought Mario bundled with the system.  Sometimes it was just Mario on one cart, and sometimes it was Mario + Duck Hunt, and sometimes it was Mario + Duck Hunt + World Class Track Meet.  But Super Mario Bros was bundled with most of the systems.

Super Mario Galaxy is actually at 12.8mil, not 12.81mil, so 3D Land had topped it already. I meantioned it then too.
