PS5 is such a non factor that it gets more Japanese third party support than the Switch lol

The funny part about this post is not only is it not true but even if it was that means the Switch has software that has singlehandedly outsold the PS5 entire library despite all of that support. That's laughably bad!

Baseball Spirits had a collapse from the 2019 release with the new Switch exclusive release. I doubt it will stay exclusive.

Considering legs of games on the Switch I very much doubt it,

eBaseball last year debuted lower and ended up with over 300K physical sales on the Switch, Baseball Spirits is heading for a similar sales. Its very likely that it's lifetime sales will surpass the combined total of Baseball Spirits 2019 on the PS4/PSV despite debuting 100K lower it might even get there this year.

Baseball Spirits 2019 ended up selling only 110K additional units after it's launch simply because PS4/PSV dont have leggy titles. Compare that to eBaseball on the Switch which has sold over 200K after it's launch and is likely still selling outside of the Top 30.

[NSW] Baseball Spirits 2021 - 106.597 /189.057

[PS4/PSV] Baseball Spirits 2019 - 219.459 / 329.990

[NSW] eBaseball 2020 - 94.876 / 297.187

You think it can average 8k/week to pass LTD Baseball Spirits 2019 this year?

Did you not look to see how much it sold on Famitsu the past few weeks or something?

Developers are therefore losing money because the PS5 software is doing very poorly. That can't be funny for anyone. Though we know your claim is untrue.

By the way did you miss the post that talked about toxic posts in Japan sales threads that brought them down on other sites like NeoGAF and ResetEra, to the point where they are no longer accessible, because people could not resist the urge to pretend like the Switch was bad or that Japan didn't matter? You may want to take a look at it.

Nonsense.

SE, Capcom, NB, SEGA are making more money than ever and largely due to Playstation (and PC for some titles).

Just because someone, and rightly so, points out that JP software is heavily reliant on Playstation and overseas market does not make it toxic. If you're talking about Japan only, you might have a point, however any post talking about Japanese software decisions made by publishers should bear in mind that the majority of sales for said publishers happen overseas and mostly on Playstation.

A franchise like Momotaru makes sense for what you say but something like Musou does not.

Reagrding Resetera, Media Create has a really bad reputation on that board for being an echochamber and rude. Just ask the other members of the forum. A mod stepped in, and they over reacted to a 1 day ban. Speaks volumes that the mod team don't care and the rest of the forum is ignoring it.

Japan?

Nagoshi got demoted and you say this. Capcom has to launch one MH exclusive. Bandai Namco losing ground so much in Japanese market than have worst performance than Konami.

SE, Capcom, NB, SEGA are making more money than ever = I'm talking about the companies as a whole/their videogame divisions as a whole. Check their Financial reports.

Better is certainly subjective so I'm not sure what your point is. What isn't subjective is how poorly the PS5 is selling software despite all that support.

This is a problem, Here is about the Japanese market.

In NPD nobody keeps arguing about worldwide sales.

This is a deflection because of abysmal software ps5 sales.

sony losing the Japanese market and will lose East Asia because of this.

The shadow of the new model finally arrived; I expected it sooner. Gonna be a slow few weeks, then back to business.

With the Nintendo direct, OLED launch and a fantastic fall line-up, Switch is about to have it's strongest Q4 to date in my opinion. This will lead to strong momentum heading into 2022 when we get Arceus, Splatoon 3, Breath of the Wild sequel, Monster Hunter Rise expansion, Resident Evil Outrage and DQIII Remake;

Don't forget Kirby and the Forgotten Land, doesn't Japan really like the pink puffball?
