Forums - Sony Discussion - PS Showcase 09/09 - 40 mins of Summer

Good show. Hyped for GoW:R. I hope wolverine, GT7, and Kotor are good. Bummed by the uncharted remaster rather than a free update.

I'm now thoroughly convinced Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo are doomed unless they hit ps+ or something, based on the comments in this thread about pacing in the middle, and the YouTube chat filled with people making sleep references.

I'd say Microsoft had the best showing this year followed by Sony then Nintendo.

GoW looks incredible. Currently my most hyped game! I'm excited for Wolverine but the CGI teaser did nothing for me. Some of the indie titles looked phenomenal, especially Tchia, it has an "AAA" level of polish & "quirkiness" of the PS2 era. KOTR timed exclusive is huge, a lot of good reveals overall, insightful post show, but I felt like the showcase lacked 1 - 2 more big reveals. The format of the show caught me off guard, it scared me a bit by the middle lol, but at the end I liked the pacing. A bit of tweaking and it could be even better.

6/10.

That showcase was amazing!

Really excited for Wolverine and a better storytelling because Fox f*ckd it up.

Amazing show...
Playstation proved it's king. This presentation, added to the other presentations of the year, easily outperforms the competitors, a show of strength and yet another proof that they don't need E3.
I'll give it an 8.5, as there was abuse of CG trailers, but the potential of the featured games... could have been a 9~10 presentation if they showed more strong gameplay.

Also... Kotor exclusive (timed?)! Damn, old Xbox fans didn't like this.

A strong start, strong ending and weak middle makes this an overall good presentation. Stuff like Forspoken and Tchia look great and I like that PC announcements will now be a part of these events at least sometimes. Though as usual them showing trailers for multiplats and only showing a Playstation logo like for the SW: KOTOR remake is an annoying and misleading practice they should stop doing.

It was a good show but most of the playstation studio games being released are on ps4 as well. The ones that we know off. But yes exciting times for gamers. I will be looking forward to God of war as the 2018 version was my first platinum game on ps that I bothered to get lol

The content was great. the only thing I dint like was that they showed quite a few things without a release date and some so far away. I gave shit to MS for that I should do the same with sony now. I really dont like showing shit that it could even not end up looking like they showed.

Aside from that, finally saw forspoken in action. Looks good. Looks like a magic centric character, could be to offset ffxvi action combat if so that would be amazing out of square enix. God of war amazing as we all knew it would be.

Ghost wire tokyo looks better now than what I saw before, but im still not interested.

I wanted anything big to come out this holliday. Dint happen. I gess after kena its a wait untill horizon.

Solid 8/10

Sony studios is codeveloping that game. You still dont think there wont be some sort of exclusivity?

Spiderman 2 & Wolverine confirmed as PS5 exclusives via PSBlog.

Unless Sony is bringing back PS Experience, we won't see the fruits of Sony's organic growth until 2022, and that's without potential acquisitions that add to the development pipeline. The PS5 is having a slightly better start to the generation than the PS4 but I think it will have significantly better output towards the middle of the generation when the PS4 really started to pick up.
