Bold: Famitsu

The non-Nintendo troop is deniers? Because I never see this so many times. The source is capcom and insiders. Capcom Aways reports sales period. Sales are everything always. But the deniers try to bash Capcom stateman. Then the insider stateman is wrong, because it's not possible so low digital sales. It's not possible  low digital sales because jeopardy all digital sales phenomenal narrative some so attached.

It's funny.

But, until now, PS5 has, in Japan, atrocious software sales. One or two system seller maybe change this, but the decrease it will affect all East Asia market. And declined Japan market too.

The physical sellthrough estimate of 40-60% in Japan comes from Famitsu.

You must have quoted the wrong post.

yeah, I know this. I only illustrate the problem, in general sense. U bring information and the people questioned. U bring more sources and people reflects for another path, etc.

the sell-through are well know for those who always follow media create and famistu, and the famistu, in the gold years brings the precise percetange for the first week.

Golden Age you have 3 software tracker in Japanese market, NPD with numbers and GFK with top 30 in UK.

Goalpost is insane, you get proof and you find a way to dismiss it. Non Nintendo fans these days smh

Regarding your other post, 300k comes from an official source (300k ship+digital) not famitsu

Oh, my bad for disrupting the echo chamber, I'm just trying to figure out how you can include a digital game in physical shipments, unless its a download card. We know shipped is not sold & Capcom has officially stated 50% of sales are digital.

Ok let me help you out cuz I see what’s your problem now.

So think of it as 3 types of sales.

1) Retail Copy (physical sale)

2) PSN download (digital sale)

Simple right? Now for the confusion a lot of people have.

3) Download Card at store: This counts as a Retail sale, but you get a code to download it. You don’t purchase it over on PSN, you put in the code and you download it cuz you purchased it over at retail.

Think of Bundles, when you buy a PS4 with Uncharted 4, you get a code. UC4 game counts as a retail sale as you purchased it from Target. But you download it via code from the  PSN store. 1 retail sale, no digital sale.

If you did it the way your thinking of, then every time you purchase a download card, it would count as 2 sales, 1retail and 1digital which is obviously false

hope this helps

The topic is resolved but there's no harm in people questioning something if it doesn't add up to them, that's the only way you learn something. As long as people are not running around in circles or being intentionally ignorant. If someone doesn't get something at all, at some point just stop responding lol.

Regarding the bold I feel like you're referencing my questioning of the 300k shipments for japan? But its true that any sell through of 50% or less means 0 digitals sales if its true shipments were around 300k, which would be abnormal to say the least. So either it's sell-through is obviously closer to the best case 60% or the 300k figure for Japan has been rounded too many times. i.e 90% of shipments being outside of Japan being rounded up from 86%, or Capcom rounding 3.19million to "over 3million". IDK how specific companies would be with this.

it's ok people questioning and necessary, but deviate the main topic to forces narrative it's not so ok.

Interesting that while globally RE8 sold most on PS5 by a wide margin, in Japan it sold nearly three times as much on PS4 as PS5, physically at least. The difference may close a little with digital, but since digital is a factor on PS4 as well and Japan seems to prefer physical, it's still a reversal of the global trend.
