I can see the appeal to certain customers, but not for me. For someone married, workinf full time, and limited hrs to game a day, I only play games that I really want to, and I would buy the physical copy, unless some really cool indie title drops on the store. But even if I had all day to play, I feel having near unlimited access to games for a fee, might slightly hinder the gaming experience. Example, instead of going for platinum or achievements and getting more out of a game, by the time the game near ends, I will be quickly thinking about what game to play next, since there is an abudance just there and i'm paying. Or I might give up an hr into the game, and try look for something better instead of sticking with the game and possibly enjoying it/loving it, and never go back to it, or end up with several games i'm playing but never finishing them.
So i'm happy with the current model. Buy a game you really want , you physcially own, play the most out of it, then move on when the game interests you, on launch.
