What was the Xbox 360's best year in terms of games to you, and why?

I'm voting 2007 mainly for Halo 3 (my personal favorite in the franchise), other good games (ones I've played and have yet to) from 2007 include The Orange box, CoD modern Warfare, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Skate. Lost Odyssey and Blue dragon was also released in 2007, which were both solid JRPGs.

2011 that is when my most played 360 game came out Forza Motorsport 4.  Gears of War 3 was anther very good first part game that came out that year.  You also had great third party games that year like Assassin's Creed Revelations, Dirt 3, Dead Space 2, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record (still my favorite Dead Rising game), L.A. Noire, NBA 2K12 (still one of the best games in the series), and Saints Row the Third.

 Plagiarist's my favourite catchphrase is  "great minds think alike" and it has come to the fore once again with ice having done all my work for me so

 2007 it is and ice has I have told you why.

2010 is when Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Halo: Reach all launched, which were all great games that I enjoyed, particularly Alan Wake , which is still my favorite 360 game.

For me it's gotta be 2010.

That's the year with the most high quality games to speak of; Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Halo Reach, Bioshock 2, Vanquish, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, COD Black Ops, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Sonic All Stars Racing, Singularity, Metro 2033.

I own more 360 games from that year than any other.

2007. Halo 3.

I think Xbox 360s 2007 is still one of the best years a console ever had.

Halo 3 (arguably one of the best games for a generation)
BioShock (arguably one of the best new IPs for a generation)
Mass Effect (arguably one of the best new IPs for a generation)

Pretty much what everyone else said... 2007.

And although Oblivion came out in 2006, it was still fresh in 2007. That year really made me an Xbox fan, a shame about the last decade
