Switch a week away from 80 milli??

Almost certainly, yes, unless shortages hit like a freight train and they can't even ship 210k.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

If Series' stock is not big enough by Week 17 they might lose that week to the Xbox One (Titanfall launched, they sold 148k consoles), but apart from that they should win any other week in 2021 against 2014's Xbox One.

Looks like is steadily declining while the x1 is steady. Even if all stays the same the series is bound to loose no matter what happens. As far as I'm aware there zero no games any time soon that would give it a boost. Specially nothing in the ranks of titanfall.

I don't really understand this comment... 86k, 90k, 95k, 104k, 112k. Steadily declining? It's rather the opposite if we look at the numbers posted. I mean, apart from the post-launch and post-Holiday periods, the only decline happened the last week.

I have periods of social disconnection, it's a part of me that I need and keenly embrace. I'll still log in and read news and threads during those times, but I won't be (very) active on the site, so I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause (late answers, bumps or the like).

Have we ever considered just swapping to a brand comparison model, rather than specific consoles? Then we don't have to worry about weird generational issues and we can just easily know, between the big three, who sold the most consoles each week. If we did, they would look like this for this post:

*This combines 3DS + Switch, PS4 +PS5, and Xbox One + Series S/X

It does show that early sales aren't the best indicator as the Switch is on track to outsell the PS4 and possibly reach DS and PS2 levels. While I don't see the PS5 selling as well as the PS4 due to more competition from Microsoft.
