They really are nasty. But there's a rhyme and reason to it, I don't know why, but I do love me some antiheroes! It's very well written, and the side-stories don't take up too much of the screen time, which is something that tends to happen to modern TV-shows.

Yes, I'm sure Beth had "rhyme and reason" to tell Jamie to kill himself. She's a fucking heartless cunt who makes every scene with her unbearable (other than one scene where she got beaten within an inch of her life).

That's why I like The Punisher so much. Almost every time Punisher finds someone who genuinely deserves to die he takes them out.

Have you watched all of season 3? That's where we learn of her hatred for Jamie, and his feelings of not belonging. There actually is rhyme and reason to it, given the context, and for someone who's worked in psychiatry for the past 11 years. And, to be fair; Jamie tells her the exact same thing when he picks her up in his car and she holds a gun to her own chin (I believe he says something like "do us all a favor and do it"). I find Beth and Jamie to be equally heartless, but also like both characters. Not to mention Costner, who is at his very best in this show.

Additionally, as someone who hasn't spoken to his own sister and parents in about 4 years, it even makes sense from an anecdotal point in my case. Families are terrible sometimes.

I watched "From" season 1 today, really enjoyed it. What I didn't enjoy is finding out that I'll need SkyShowtime to finish both From and Yellowstone - since none of them are available on Netflix past season 1 and 3, respectively. Oh, and as a bonus, I got an e-mail today where Netflix informs me that they're increasing their prices. Again. This is getting really annoying, not to mention expensive. Once Stranger Things, Arcane, and a few other shows are over, I'll be canceling my Netflix subscription after about 16 years. I cancelled Disney+ last month, and I really don't miss it.

Around the Network

The Apprentice: I had hoped they would cover a lot more of the juicy details of Trump's life before and behind the cameras. They left out a ton. What's there isn't bad, though. Once a grifter, always a grifter.

Saturday Night: Big Sorkin energy to this movie, kinda like his Steve Jobs picture but about one hectic night instead of several. As a modern day SNL fan who doesn't know a lot about its early days this was a fun look behind the curtain. Recommended.

More cartoon chaos from Karameru.

Anytime you'd expect one thing to happen in these videos something even more outrageous happens instead. XD

I just saw Smile 2, I really enjoyed it. One thing I will say is: this one definitely ups the ante with the psychedelic/paranoia shit from the first movie. Moreover, I thought Skye was a more interesting and well-rounded character than Rose from the first movie and I felt like the added paranoia/hallucinations brought out the best in her character, not only in her performances, but the weight of the story. Speaking of story, it also felt more focused and self-contained and I liked seeing Skye’s descent into madness in this one more than I did Rose’s. She’s given more to do and the stakes felt higher. 8/10

I rewatched the first one before going to see this one in the theater BTW.

9-1-1. Ortiz finally got her cummuppance. ^^

9-1-1 again. Some douchebag high school principal got what he deserved.

Finally watched the first 2 episodes of Dragon Ball Daima on Hulu, little disappointing so far, not gonna lie. Guess it‘s gonna take a little getting used to all the Z fighters being kids for me. The first episode was basically just a recap of Buu with not much else going on apart from the big Shenron twist.

Please tell me it at least does away with the Dragon Ball Super bullshit. -_-

Currently into High Potential, Matlock and S4 of Murders in the building.

Tried watching Rescue Hi Surf (the new Baywatch I guess, awful)
Doctor Odyssey (good for extreme cringe)

And as always more documentaries, mostly about history nowadays.

I watched these last night

About WW1 and UK/France dividing up the ME

About indoctrination and the origin of the student protests in the USA

I'm starting to prefer You Tube over Netflix for docs, always watch em at 2x speed with subs now. AI generated CC is getting better.
