Not exactly a surprise, but much sooner than I expected.

I for one am incredibly hyped, Crash 1-3 were a huge part of my childhood so I can't wait to play the 4th game!

Its about time it launched on Switch!

It's great to see another third party game utilize the Dualsense features.

Battle.net on PC when the N'Sane Trilogy is on Steam.........makes sense

Well since I own the trilogy on Steam, and with no cloud saves, modding support, and an always online connection required for the Bnet version, I think I'm just going to not bother.

Activision knows they can sell it on Steam, but as usual, the suits there decide, and the suits clearly want 100% of the income at the expense of consumer reach, features and generally what the consumer wants. Fuck 'em, there's virtually no point in me bothering to buy an Acti game ever again, because if I'm always gonna get delayed PC ports, strewn and locked to useless, shitty clients, then there's no point in me wasting my money on a company who frankly doesn't give a toss about it's customers. 

I fully expect the twice delayed PC port to ultimately flop. I also imagine the future announcements won't be CTR PC port, but some stupid inspid always online multiplayer Crash based game. 

Switch box art doesn't mention a mandatory download, so hopefully like the N.Sane Trilogy and CTR before it it's entirely on the game card:

The developer also said it will run at 1080p docked and 720p portable at 30FPS on the Switch. Apparently rather than lowering the resolution and applying an agressive AA and ending up with a rather blurry game like pretty much every other 8th gen port to the Switch, they are reworking the game's visuals to give it a more cell-shaded style that demands less from the hardware.
