The XBS is picking up steam going from 424 to 1099. That's a big increase week over week.

The XS is also supply-limited in Japan. But considering their sales over there, I can hardly blame Microsoft to sent so few units to Japan.

Later, when the supply issues will be resolved, I expect the XS to clearly outsell the XBO's best days in the weekly charts. Noting to set the world on fire, but I expect a baseline of over 300 sales per week with 500+ on bigger weeks and 2000+ spikes during holidays and the like. This doesn't sound like much, but is pretty much more than double what the XBO achieved in Japan.

XBS is actually impressing me honestly, still being sold out.

Its doing better then the XBone, thats for sure... maybe they can reach the 360's height if they play their cards right.

If switch sucks up most third party japanese games, that mostly negates the ps5's advantage.

With even Capcom throwing their hat into the ring big time with Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Ghosts 'n' Goblins Resurrection, and apparently a new RE game, it's about time for some Japanese thirds to pull their head out of their behinds. It really does feel like blind brand loyalty at this point more than any objective business sense.

Also Top 30 is now updated.

All three charting PS4 titles were outsold by their respective Switch counterparts. Switch is great for 3rd-parties.

Wow.. mic-drop

When PS4 released did it have games in the top 10 or at least top 30 for multiple weeks?

I cant feel sad for Level 5. That is what they get for milking their only successful franchise.
And Nintendo is carrying the software sales. Not surprised.

So most third-parties, with the exception of Konami, decreased to some of their lowest numbers (or their lowest) in 2020, while Nintendo reached their peak. The case of Level 5 is particularly tragic.
