Forums - Sales Discussion - Australia: Switch 88% YoY Growth, New Horizon #1 Game with digital not included

I literally met quite some number of families here in New South Wales that barely played video games before but each member of the family got a switch and animal crossing this year.
So yeah, the game pushed hardware like crazy!

Animal Crossing really carried Nintendo in 2020. No one expected the game to have this impact to the world when it was revealed at e3 2019.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Very interested to see overall Switch shipments/sales for end of year as it seems it was about flat in U.S and Japan but most likely increased quite a bit on smaller regions.

Some context for those who may not be aware; the Switch costs $469 AUD, which is $361 USD, here in Australia.

Converted to euro that's 298,96€, about the same price we pay here.
