Yea, fucking haters man, its just one of the buggiest triple A games that released in the last 20 years , the only one that got removed from the main console brand store , its just some bugs !!! There is a shit ton of refunds because its just some bugs, the company released like 5 statements agreeing the game is a mess and assuming the blame cause they like to make themselfs look like fools!!! They hide console footage and tried their best to prevent reviews to show the game cause it was in a perfect state !!!

It getting removed by the PSN store, and all the statements made by CDPR, it's all in response to the massive outrage. The outrage happened because, well, it's 2020. How many stupid outrages have we seen at this point?

Ah yes, I can't imagine what's in the minds of people who just overexaggerate and jump on any hate-filled bandwagon they want, especially against a large company who's easy to target because they are a company that is large, without doing any further research into the matters being discussed before making a judgment call.

...Can you?

Yes. I keep seeing advertisements to it on youtube, yesterday saw a bus in london totally in yellow advertising cyberpunk.

It will keep on selling because at the end of the day it runs fine in next gen systems, PC, Xone X and PsPro. At that is already a lot of people.

I still see commercials for it, too. Game stores still have it plastered everywhere. It's going to be a massive success for them.

And from what I've seen of the base console versions, it's completely playable. I think 99% of the outrage here is just Internet outrage culture at its finest. Look at that list someone posted last page of all the stuff "cut" from the game. Fucking yikes.

I do agree about the way the reviews were handled, but that's just one more reason no one should give a flying fuck about metascores or reviews in general. Every big game like this has all these rules and NDA's and shit, there's really no point in even reading the reviews.

I'm only 13 hours in the game, work and holidays have been cutting into my playing time, but the only bad thing I have had happen is still the hard frame drops to zero that happened three or four times in my first few hours and have not happened since. Other than that I have zero complaints about bugs. It's no worse than many other games available to play, Sony just took it off so that they wouldn't have to give out as many refunds.

Man... just... no. Base console versions are just a piece of garbage. I believe most people know the base versions wont be 1080p 30fps locked, the same way GTA5 was not for PS3 for example. I believe 900p with 22-25 fps outdoors and 30 indoors would be acceptable. Games with bad performance are just normal unfortunately. But the base versions are just absolute garbage to the point of being unplayable.

But I agree internet outrage culture plays a big part on it, everybody gets an incentive to publish videos and articles talking about how trash the game is due to how internet and it's monetisation works.

The game isn't in a perfect state, certainly not on consoles. It needs fixing, and it'll get fixing. It's common for open-world games, maybe not this common, but I've seen it before with games that were very warmly received (Skyrim or basically anything else Bethesda pulled out).

It getting removed by the PSN store, and all the statements made by CDPR, it's all in response to the massive outrage. The outrage happened because, well, it's 2020. How many stupid outrages have we seen at this point? It's just everyday on the internet nowadays. And unfortunately, what we have been seeing for a long time too, is that these outrages usually do have an effect. Companies are just too afraid of the bad PR that's so easy to spread nowadays.

I particularly hate how it's removal from the store is seen as a win by so many people. What, so taking away an option from the consumer is a good thing? There's gonna be loads of people who were gonna buy the game for christmas and now they can't. Maybe you can see that as a good thing in terms of punishing the game's developer, as it's a very financial punishment (they only care about finances anyway). But it's just not good for the consumer. Many people don't care about the bugs or performance issues on PS4 and just wanted to play it, now they can't.

I personally have a lot less empathy for the "average consumer" who buys a shitty product because they didn't know any better. Like, zero empathy. If you're putting your money on something, you better know about what you're buying.

TLOU2 got a lot of hate campaign and user review bombing, didn't need refunds, or apologies and even won most GOTY awards. You are just not looking at it objectively.

They should because losses happen, sometimes you do everything right and the game just dont sell. But in this case people were buying shares of the company based on the information they were releasing, and you can see in shareholders meetings that they clearly sent the message the game was running well and the game would be released when ready. Once you decide to go public the stakes are much higher.

Yep. I don't know if they truly will and sure no one can ensure they will win. But yes when you give public information to investors/shareholders you are responsible for it, as you said you may make a very good plan and it may fail an all be in good faith, that loss can't be recovered by suing. But when the public information was false and it make you incur in loss then you have a course of action imho.

And luckily CDPR and platform holders were fast on the refunds, because a class action from customers was also very likely.

Which court system oversees an international class action lawsuit? They are in Poland but have investors all over the world.

For investors class action it would be wherever they have their shares traded I guess, so if their shares are only listed in Poland I would say they can only sue over there, but if for some reason they are also listed in let's say Wall Street you could perhaps sue over there. My best guess is that the contract you have on your share stipulate what is the right venue for a possible lawsuit.

For customers themselves I would say they can sue on the country they officially bought the product, considering physical good doesn't have the EULA covering them, CDPR wouldn't be able to demand all lawsuits need to take place in Poland. Now if you bought from an import location and CDPR doesn't have official representation in the country I guess you can only sue the store that sold it.

100+hrs in, haven't put it down since launch. Yeah it sucks for base system owners but the game runs pretty much fine on my system (Xbox Series S) and I've had zero quest breaking/game breaking bugs outside of phone calls sometimes taken forever to trigger. Outside of missing some basic open would stuff (ability to change character appearance after character creation), some terrible AI and some significant poor balancing that's required me to turn it up to very hard the game is one of the best I've played this year.

Just curious what games did you play this year, that a game with so many flaws, is one of the best this year?

Not that I can't stop playing a severely flawed game (FS2020), well over 1,000 hours put in already. It's still early access imo. It just had a major patch yesterday (VR added) and now the plane I use is 20% faster lol. They fixed TAA, the graphics are finally sharp again, like getting new glasses. Lot of fixes for the airliners and tweaks to auto pilot which unfortunately broke nav mode this time. Can't use that anymore, have to adjust heading manually now. I wonder if the crashes are fixed now, haven't had one yet today. It started with several a day, was down to a few per week. It was the right decision to launch on consoles later, when it's ready.
