Forums - PC - I've official made the switch from Chrome to Edge

Do you use Edge?

Yes, it's my main browser 10 17.54%

sometimes, I switch around between browsers 7 12.28%

No, I mainly use Chrome 14 24.56%

No, I mainly use Firefox 15 26.32%

No, I mainly use Safari 4 7.02%

No, I mainly use a different browser 7 12.28%

Total:57

As a long time Chrome only user, I've decided to fully switch over to Edge. For such a long time, MS browsers were just bad and slow, and I hated anytime I had to use it for something(work related usually), but I've only had positive experience with the new Edge browser. Chrome seems to be getting worse and slower as time goes by. Edge just seems clean and speedy. Even after full shutdown, it takes no time to boot up.

My browser history(no bun intended) started with IE, then Firefox for a couple years, Chrome for roughly 8 years, and now Edge. Maybe in a few years I'll switch again.

Has anyone else made the jump or seen themselves increase use with Edge? I know how hard it is to switch from one thing to something else entirely, which is why I used Chrome for as long as I did.

I was using chrome for years until I got a horrendous bug that increased ram usage by about 500mb/s until my pc froze whenever chrome was open.

Switched back to good old firefox which was my browser before chrome. Chrome really did become terrible in performance.

I use Edge as a third option browser.

Mainly use FireFox

Secondary is Google Chrome

Opera used to be my third browser but I dont use it anymore, prefer Edge over it especially since Edge uses Chromium's code.

IE is just a last alternative in case if I ever need it but Edge looks like it'll replace that spot especially since IE is going away next year and Edge is going to become the next default Windows browser going forward.

I've never used Opera before, so I might give it a go to see how it fairs.

I had to use IE(old ass version too) for a certain application at worked because it wouldn't work on any other browser. It was awful and dumb. We now use an updated version of it, which can be used on other browsers.

I use Edge occasionally. It's faster than Chrome but I barely use Chrome much because it eats ram like no other. I use a different chromium fork called Brave. I highly recommend it. Brave mobile also allows YouTube playback in the background so I don't use the official app much at all. I also use Firefox from time to time. Never had a problem with it.

Safari better than all of them.

Started with Netscape Navigator, then years of IE, then switched to Firefox and never looked back

I use Firefox and on occasion Edge as Edge does 1080p+ Netflix

You're a brave man.
I'm still using Firefox even though the initial start up is really slow. There's an easy fix though, I never shut down my laptop. I unplug the power brick and let my laptop slowly drain until it goes into hibernation (or you could just use the sleep option) and on the next day I can quickly resume.

Never been a fan of Chrome.
