Is September considered a 5-week month or a 4-week month?

5 weeks.  All quarter ends are 5 weeks.

Jan 4

Feb 4

Mar 5

Apr 4

May 4

Jun 5

Jul 4

Aug 4

Sep 5

Oct 4

Nov 4

Dec 5

That comes out to a clean 13 weeks per quarter, and 52 weeks per year (364 days).

Every 7 years or so, there will be an extra week tacked onto Dec or Jan in order to make sure the calendar doesn't fall too far out of alignment (364 days vs 365/366 days).

It's always January.

So yes, every 7 years January is a 5 weeks month, all other years only 4.

January is five weeks every five to six years. Leap years are a thing, so it's not always only one excess day per year.

I wish we got more specific numbers on how the Switch is doing YoY this month in the U.S. We know that its up YoY from September 2019 which is a great sign cause the Switch Lite launched on Sep 2019 and still was up YoY. I'm just wonder how much higher it is YoY in September and how it compares to other consoles Septembers in the past. Maybe we'll get a leak of NPD numbers eventually though.

Hope leaks come soon. Already pinged our leaker on Era.

NPD says HW spending was up YoY by 15% up to $277M this September, and also clarified that only NSW was up YoY. That would very roughly peg NSW at 650-700K (depending on OG/Lite split) for the 5 week period.

Got quick software leak (physical only for all three titles).

Avengers 450K
Mario All Stars 1,165K
ACNH 180K

So Avengers digital must be >715K.

Mario with 50% digital split would be >2.3M, which is bonkers, should be outperforming Mario Odyssey outside of Japan.  ACNH has been at 60% digital outside of Japan, so sounds like a 450-500K month.
