Doesn't Phantasy Star Online 2 come out next year?

Also, Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV and an Inazuma eleven game if I remember correctly. Oh, and R-Type Final 2.

It's already out the the Switch the PSO2 next year is PSO2:New Genesis sequel/expansion which ever you prefer to call it.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification!

Top 10

  1. Nintendo - 11.435.108
  2. Square Enix - 1.359.562
  3. Pokemon Co - 1.067.193
  4. Bandai Namco - 890.310
  5. Sony - 618.756
  6. Sega - 460.877

  8. Microsoft - 359.349

MH Rise alone is gonna see Capcom skyrocket up this list like a champagne cork released at 50 fathoms and become second only to Nintendo.

That's only 2020 numbers though, correct? Curious how all-time numbers on Switch stack up.

You're right, my bad.

Still, I can't see any other third party staying ahead of Capcom post MH Rise.

This is all due to 3rd Parties continuing to provide exclusives to the Playstation ecosystem, but the Switch will catch up by the end of the year.

Next year sales will be probably close to a 10:1 ratio for the Switch due to Monster Hunter Rise, Bravely Default 2, Monster Hunter Stories 2Rune Factory 5SMT V and a lot of the 3rd Parties finally starting to have a multiplat strategy.

Ring Fit Adventure Quarterly Performance

  • 2019Q4 - 495.639 (NEW)
  • 2020Q1 - 249.488 (-49.6%)
  • 2020Q2 - 328.387 (+31.6%)
  • 2020Q3 - 502.666 (+53%)*

*One week left

With one week left to the quarter, Ring Fit has outperformed it's launch Quarter. With the launch in China reseller price has fallen by about Y2,000, but it still is Y4,000 above retail price. Expecting next week to be the biggest week so far in Ring Fit's lifetime, Q4 is going to be huge, I can see the game easily surpassing 1M sales during the holidays months. It should finish the year very close to 3 Million sold in Japan.

Famitsu Sales: Week 18, 2020 (Apr 27 - May 03)

Ring Fit Adventure - 81.649

Famitsu Sales: Week 42, 2019 (Oct 14 - Oct 20)

Ring Fit Adventure - 68.497

Famitsu Sales: Week 36, 2020 (Aug 31 - Sep 06)

Ring Fit Adventure - 63.958

2021 will definitely be Capcom's year.  For Switch's lifetime I can see Square Enix ending up on top, especially if they release Dragon Quest 12 on Switch.  They've already been giving Switch pretty good support up to this point: Octopath Traveler, DQ 11, Bravely Default 2 coming, etc....

DQXII is a given at this point the userbase size in Japan has that locked down much like 3DS was too big to not get DQXI it's just a case of whether any other platform gets a version I'll also bet that the will be another Octopath game at some point.

I dunno, I'd never put it passed third parties to shaft a Nintendo system against all logic. If DQ12 is a PS5 exclusive it would not surprise me.

I expect Sony to try to combat their fading relevance in Japan with aggressive moneyhats.
