Forums - Gaming Discussion - "Konami" trends on Twitter with fans asking Sony to adquire their IPs in response to Micro's Beth acquisition

Ok. I rather have Sony buying Konami than Square or Sega. I wanna play Dragon Quest and Valkyria Chronicles on Switch and future Nintendo devices. 😞

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

He mean Sony would get bankrup for purchasing Konami

No, I never said that.

OK, but Sony never stands a chance to compete with MS in spending money to buy big Western 3rd parties.

By all means, leave. As unpleasant as usual.

Assets to liability ratio is a common marker of healthiness of a company. People invest in stocks based on these things, among others. ATVI is +24$ per stock since 2020 began, a 30% increase. MSFT is up 47$ since 2020 began, a 23% increase. SNE stock is up $9 since 2020 began, a 12% increase. ATVI is trending very well comparably.

HEY!

@DirtyP2002 Don't listen to Farsala. You guys should just talk neutrally about the numbers and take things lightly a bit.

To be fair, he got baited by what can be considered as flaming so DirtyP2002 is not in the right here.

And yeah there is a really small chance of Sony buying any Konami ip's if they're not able to buy studios attached to them that can actually make those games.

Nintendo should buy Sony.

Is Sony really in a situation where they can afford to buy big studios? Seems like everything but their gaming division is down. Unless the studio they are going after had had huge profit margins in recent years, I'm no sure it's worth a big buyout. How has Konami done recently financially?

I do not know if From software wants to be owned by Sony but would be nice if that studio could be expanded to work on both bloodborne and elden ring.

It might be a recovery in Bethesda's case.

Alongside of massive projects that already took them years i theorize they made fallout 76 the way it is as a chance to improve the stagnating income long term to cross a void of no releases but that did not turn out as they expected.

Not really. But OP seems to be about the possibility of Sony acquiring Konami's IPs or gaming division. Not the whole company.

I don't see that happen either though. I don't think a financially healthy publisher has ever sold its IPs.
