Weird they didn't give a date for Demon's Souls in the livestream, but it's a launch title.

Is it? Where does it say that?

It will, unfortunately.

Will need to see first, perhaps they make two different versions so they can take the best use of SSD, RTX and whatnot. But well yes it can certainly hold down if it is same version just scaled.

I doubt it man.

Major misstep by Sony here. At least they got a compelling price for the PS5.

Funny thing is that MS promissed to leave no one behind and having 2 years of crossgen, but the only real AAA console exclusive they will have crossgen is Halo Infinite, while Sony that didn`t try to make good guy messaging will have many more AAA crossgen.... and we are seeing people not liking it, but I doubt people that praised MS for it will applaud Sony as Sony players are complaining about it.

Can we please stop defaulting to "muh 2 years" when Matt Booty clearly said "1-2 years."  It's pretty simple for anyone to understand: any 1st-party XGS title that's released PAST November 10 2021 is not guaranteed to have an Xbox One version--though it's still possible.  He is so clear about this within the context of his quote.

Sure, and we also have some claiming that it probably won`t even take until end 2021.

Still which crossgen games have you seem confirmed from MS releasing after Series X releases?

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

The cross gen announcements are a huge letdown. Sony's messaging is so confusing. They seem as though they want people to migrate from PS4 to PS5 swiftly yet don't give exclusive incentives to do so. The PS4 is still priced way too high so why are they still supporting it with their most high profile upcoming software. Bad move IMO.

I'm actually really happy with this. I thought I was going to have to choose between either buying a PS5, or waiting 3 years for Horizon 2 to come to PC, for highway robbery prices. Now I can just chill, with my PS4 Pro, and PC. ^_^

Yeah, this is a wonderful situation ^^

Maybe, maybe not.  Thus far with the specific qualifiers Booty laid out previously?  He hasn't been proven incorrect (yet).  It is fair to keep an eye on Halo: Infinite to see what'll happen to it.

Depends on what you want to consider cross-gen or backwards compatible here.  To my knowledge, I'm aware of Grounded (full release), Tell Me Why, and Halo: Infinite getting the XOne/XSeries/PC treatment.

Despite the fact that grounded already released (even if full release will be later) I thought it wasn`t AAA, same with Tell me Why, so only Halo would count on this.

And certainly if Sony made several patches to have much improved versions of TLOU2, FFVIIR and other recent titles it wouldn`t be considered crossgen do you agree?

What games even have a release window?

Well, according to Kotaku, Demon's Souls isn't coming to PC & is a PS5 exclusive.

got a preorder on walmart, nice

That was a good showcase. A lot of it was just updates of previous stuff shown off last time but there was also several new things and it feels good to finally get prices and a release date. The prices were expected but they're still good. Sony is for sure trying to push people towards the digital one hard. My favourite part was the surprise that Demon's Souls is also coming to PC! I really thought it was gonna be an exclusive.

So it turns out the Demon's Souls coming to PC thing was a mistake. Damn it, this is like being given a gift and then having it be taken away from you almost right away.
