Nintendo games to many people are so much better and iconic that people are willing to spend 60$ on them. While the Crash Trilogy definitely had more effort put into it, I think most people could agree even the base versions of Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy are better games.

I can agree on Galaxy and even Sunshine. But 64? Nah man, that game aged. Badly. It needed more than just a remaster.

There are definitely some aspects of Mario 64 that makes the game not age very well such as the camera angles, graphics and some of the level design, but the game still is fun today even with those limitations and imo I still enjoy it more than the Crash games. There's more to explore, fun platforming, and there's a lot more depth and variety in the missions. There are games from the 5th Gen that age far worse.

I mean it’s a great package. But the limited time run is such a Nintendo thing to do.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

So effort and hardworking don't count? I know it's personal, but those things matters to me

Crash Trilogy is really well crafted and well made, it was a letter of love and respect to Crash fans. As I Crash fan, I was really pleased to see the game of my childhood getting a nice treatment. I'm  sure it made a much better job selling Crash for newcomers and making us revive old days than this Scam trilogy will

As a Nintendo fan, I'm just displeased to see Nintendo is literally porting a 25 years old games without any effort to improve it in any way and asking us to buy the same product again

Makes sense why is it selling well. People love mario, and we are getting 3 for the price of one. Not to mention that Galaxy is one fo the best games ever and sunshine has never been re-released. This collection is also good for people who didnt like mario odyssey, so now they can have a better 3d mario experience on switch. It sucks that the limited release will limit its sales.

That's putting it politely.

What I'm really curious to see is the critical reception

Because they trashed Insane trilogy for not having many gameplay improvements

But for the Scam trilogy I'm waiting nothing less than 90+ on Metacritic for straight ports

If the competition sells coke so you start selling coke aswell doesnt make it legal, what a flawed reasoning

I know I pre-ordered it and bonus I had a random $15 off code on my amazon page if I bought anything over $50 and used my chase cash back points to purchase it. $45 aint too bad for it!

Funny enough if the the Crash of Spyro games would have been $60 USA everyone would have screamed this was unacceptable.  But its Nintendo and we (most) will always let Nintendo slide with it.  The game the way it is, should be $39.99...but I love Nintendo and I love all 3 of these games, and would probably give it a 10 unless something is really wrong with the controls especially using the pro controller.

Which basically just agrees with my point.

And have been many times like that in VGC. Nintendo fanbase have been the most critical of several practices other companies done but praised like crazy when Nintendo done the same. Like locking DLC on Amibos, that was something worse than any other company ever done, still was defended and praised here.

And that is just what I was pointing
