Over half of PS4 sales are coming from Europe.  Basically Europe is the only thing keeping PS4 looking like it has decent sales.  Switch still dominating everywhere.

Same thing with Xbone getting most of its sales from America.

You know it's not good when a system gets compared to Xbone.

I have a feeling the switch "pro" launch will outsell both the xbox series x and ps5 launches in Japan.

Week one? Not a chance

Nintendomination again, but a little less overwhelming than last week.

Well the Xbone only did around 25k in its launch week in Japan, so it seems unlikely that the series X launch will even beat a regular Switch sales week. But despite the decline of PS consoles in Japan, I think the PS5 could still have a quite strong launch if Sony supplies enough stock. PS4 and the Switch had about equally strong launch weeks in Japan after all.

If this continues 3ds will sell more than PS4 and xbone by the time next gen consoles arrive and yes, I am being hyperbolic

No need to by hyperbolic. If they run out of consoles to sell, it may very well happen. I mean, it's already happening in Japan right now...

76+ mirion for NS at the end of fiscal year?

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Good thing PS5/XSX are less than three months away, cos the current systems are well and truly ready for retirement.

it might, depends on how many ppl in japan actually care about PS anymore, epseically since most japanese devs arn't even going to bother making PS5 exclusive titles untill round year 2, if ever (since switch exists, might as well make ports for ps4 and switch). and since switch is selling as much as nintendo can stock it.... if the switch pro launched with BotW2 or something of similar calibur (say, monster hunter or DQ) it might have a shot.

sony basically gave up on the jp market when they made the decision to half ass vita support....

this has always been the case. (Xbox getting its lionshare in the US)

Glad to see Switch doing so well.

Not fair to compare PS4 and Switch at this point. PS4 is a lame duck. PS5 is coming. PS4 has had a great lifetime but it is drawing to a close. PS4 will go down as my favorite console, finally found one I feel I can put above the SNES.

As a Nintendo fan I love the switch doing so well, but over the past 10 years I have spent more time on PS so I am also glad to see they are strong too and hopefully next gen is equally as strong.
