This is pretty what happens when a single system has a whole region for itself :)

the fact that there are still Japanese 3rd party devs making exclusive games on the PS4 and PS5 is just laughable.

This is just gonna be an insane year for the switch. Could actually sell 30mil if Ninty can produce that many

@tbone51 so ac will end up +- 800k behind at 25 weeks but with better legs

Capcom reports have a 2m estimate on MHU for Switch. One port of one port.

Capcom MH left millions in one stupid decision.

elaborate on why you think so? i don't think there is much evidence to say that this is true quite yet.

besides globally they are only slightly abouve ps4

I just feel like at the moment they're like "we sell like crack without even trying, so why bother actually communicating with our fans or releasing new games?"

There is 2 directs coming this month, just patience. I agreed before, but seeing Halo getting delayed, a LAUNCH title, you can feel the impact of the quarantine in this. They have the Mario collection probably in September still. I know we didn't get much info but it's not only because they are selling out, but mostly cause they probably weren't sure of their own release schedule. Mind you, we still don't really know much about next gen either and they are releasing in like 3 months.

Have to say for the sales tho, incredible performance for the Switch. Kinda scary for anyone to try and launch a system in this environment.

This week Ring Fit Adventure has surpassed 800K sales for 2020 on Famitsu. Game is still sold out and reselling for 75% more on Amazon.co.jp, even with a big shipment next week we are still nowhere near meeting demand. The best selling game in its second year on the Switch Splatoon 2 had sold 791K at the same time in 2018, Splatoon 2 never faced such shortages outside of it's launch and mainly due to the lack of Switch stock. Splatoon 2 finished 2018 with 1.12M something Ring Fit won't have any issues surpassing by the end of this quarter with the biggest hardware weeks still to come.

Wii Fit is the target with it's 3.56M sales in Japan, maybe by the end of 2021 if Nintendo doesn't launch a sequel for Ring Fit we would see it surpass Wii Fit's total in Japan.
