Anyone want to update their predictions now that we’ve seen several trailers and know the release date?
Mind you, this wasn’t LTD sales, but the minimum you think it will sell.

I voted 4 million before. Though should have said 3 million as a floor. Hoping to see it hit 5 million though.
Hopefully it'll benefit from being both the last major franchise game to hit the Switch (Switch owners buying it because there hasn't been anything to pick up in a while and taking advantage of that massive user base), and an early game on Switch 2 (S2 owners buying it because there isn't yet much to pick up on the system), to give it that double benefit in sales. Also being the December holiday title will hopefully boost sales more as a xmas present.

Metroid Dread is the best-selling entry in the Metroid series and is the only one to sell over three million units. I fully expect Metroid Prime 4 to be the best-selling entry in the series, so I say three million is the floor with it more likely selling around 5 million lifetime.

Oof.
Metroid Dread is the best-selling to date when you don't count Metroid Prime's releases all combined (Original, Trilogy, and Remastered)
I'll predict the floor as around 4 million when rounded to the nearest half million. It's a cross-gen game that has been hyped for a long time (a lot of the years was just fans and the industry, not Nintendo).
I think it has a relatively narrow floor and ceiling, around 3.5-7 million units. I do not see 10 million units happening. It never has for Metroid and it's a tall order.
Lifetime Sales Predictions
Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)
PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)
Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)
PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)
3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Metroid is not mainstream gaming series.
I can see reaching Dread numbers but that is about it.
