Forums - Sony Discussion - Leaked Price of PS5 - MAJOR GRAIN OF SALT

Doesn't seem legit - probably placeholders. All accessories are the same price? Doesn't make sense.

I think most people are actually concerned about cashflow then they are about overall spend in a generation and that makes sense. Spending $10 extra here and there isn't going to hurt you, but $100 in one month goes a long way.

Well if 100 USD more is such a big problem for that person then better not really even expend the 400 already, but yes I know people think different and that is why it would make sense for Sony to offer a 100 cheaper version.

I wouldn't agree with that Logic otherwise people wouldn't spend on any expensive entertainment unless they were rich. Even people with big income will look for $100 savings if they can find it. $100 is an extra Christmas present, its that Winter Jacket or sneakers that I really want, its buying a train to visit my friend across the country, its an Extra game and controller at launch so the family can play together etc.

Changing the goalpost? The person would be expending more than that 100 USD because of the games being more expensive due to no used and lower pricedrops. You talked about cashflow and the difference of expending that 100 more now or several times 10 over the years.

Can't a hope for $450 standard?

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

That would be over 50 loss on the standard console, and for they to keep a good distance to the discless that would be even more losses.

I feel like if you shop around and buy a lot of games, you'll wind up saving at least 100. To me an all digital console really only makes sense if you're going to use it exclusively for PSNow or Gamepass.

Pretty much! Amazon, Bestbuy and Walmart do their E3 Pre-order sale where I can order yet to be released games at a discount. FFVIIR for example. I got around $50 during that sale compared to the usual $80 price at launch. Ik Ik, CAD sucks.

Hardly! I just bought a new game for ¥8500. That converts to around $100.

JPY sucks!

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

We pay 1/4 of minimum wage on a game, BRL sucks.

Some people only look for the short time saving.

Are you sure man? i mean, we are both from Brazil and $100 dollars cheaper Ps5 will be translated in over R$700 easy. Considering prices in Brazil, i think only people adept to used games market are going to see a return, and there is also the possibility of next gen, PS6 and Xbox (insert bad name), dropping disc drives... I think going digital is the safest route from now on, and this $100 looks like a good deal.

If PS5 discless is $100 less expensive i will go whit it.

Most of my friends in Brazil, even the ones with money available go for digital games because almost everyone does that trick of sharing accounts. I dont know exactly how it works, it seems you need to have your friend as secondary on your ps4 and your friend having you as primary on his. ANyway, most people do that trick so it's easier to share games with your friends without relying on a physical copy. In that sense a digital version would make sense. But I could be wrong though, the people I know might not be a good representation of brazilian gamer population.

Are we assuming the USD price to be the same as the Euro price? Or can we expect something like $550 USD?

It is a good representation, just check mercadolivre and you'll see a lot of people selling primary or secondary account of one game, so instead of paying 250 (60USD at that time) you could pay 80-100 for secondary and 150 for primary... theoretically that one you shouldn't share, but people share even the irregularly bought games.
