Good point; the Xbox 360 also had a slow start but went on to become one of my favourite consoles.

I guess I was kinda hoping one of them would give me enough reason to pick it up early on, since there's not much coming out on Switch these days, but it's looks like I'll have to wait. Halo Infinite and Horizon Forbidden West have my attention, but I've learned the hard way to never buy a system for one game.

To be fair, we don't know their launch or 6 month plans yet.

True, but the amount of games that were shown with only cinematics/CGI and no actual gameplay isn't encouraging.

Xbox for me, had more games that I'm interested, like Obsidian so I'm looking forward to Grounded and I would like to see more of Avowed, plus Everwild. Dunno if I count Balan because, that was pre-show stuff, but it looked coo.

The mini direct had cool DLC for Cadence and I have 1% optimism about SMT V. Nocturne HD manages to look worse than the original release and is further tainted by the voice acting inclusion, but if is cheap enough I'll grab it.

PS well, it had Miles Morales and he is my favorite Spidey. Demon Souls just makes me want to play the original to keep my pretentious view of remasters and remakes.

To be also fair, PS4 didn't have any good games until Bloodborne in Spring 2015, so having a slow start certainly doesn't mean much.

To be also fairer, didn't have another one until Uncharted 4 in Spring 2016.

I'd argue Ratchet & Clank was the better game and it came out a month before Uncharted 4, but yeah. It was nothing, then Bloodborne in 2015, then nothing again till Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank in 2016. Three years in.

Well shit, okay! it had The Last of Us in 2013, InFamous Second Son in 2014, Bloodborne and Uncharted the NAthan Drake Collection in 2015, then Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted 4 in 2016! PRETTY SLOW START! I think we can all agree on that.  Killzone Shadow Fall and Knack were both bad, so they hardly count. Hell, just 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020 had better individual years than 2013-2016 combined!

Yeah last gen were pretty slow moving. Saying that I'm one of the weird ones that did enjoy Shadowfall, haha. This gen isn't that much of an improvement either but I'm still looking forward to Spiderman: MM and a few other games on PS5, Horizon 2:FW too possibly next year. But yeah, the last few years for PS4 was just insane.

Also there's a rumour that God of War 2 is about to be announced, We'll see next month. Sony has another games showcase next month so.. fingers crossed.

Edit: eh looks like rumour got debunked by Cory Barlog.

Yeah, just more of a rarity is all lol. I completed the game (which is quite rare for me) and thought it was an enjoyable play through. I liked the open nature of some of the levels. It had pretty graphics as well. Sadly, it was panned critically and is often overlooked and ignored because of the MC rating, which is a shame.
