Crossing fingers this means a full physical release as well.

Why wouldn't it receive a physical release ? Atlus has never skipped on these ... Unless you meant the obvious upcoming special edition just like Nocturne got ?

Not in Europe.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Game looks like it might be cool.

I'm in a good "Maybe this one won't suck" vibe.

So like SMTIV? :cippa:

Could be worse, like IV Apocalypse.

2020 is looking like a slow year for Switch, with just Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and a Mario Compilation. Kind of like how 2018 was slow.

Meanwhile 2021 looks like a potential floodgates year for games, similar to 2019, and 2017. We're likely to get Odyssey 2, BotW 2, SMTV, and Bayo 3 all in a single year.

Where's Persona?

Stop being a pretentious elitist contrarian!

Can they please just do college students.

It's anime. Why would they do people who are old and almost dead? C'mon man. 24 is like 75 in anime.

Which is it it's majour draw back, the story telling needs to mature and not just in the way that something like Devil man cry baby matured. It needs to be aged up, if even it was to the university level it'd allow for much broader character story arcs and dialouge but nothing else has to change in the style of the game. Why does it always have to be teenagers, look at steins gate, they managed to make the perfect anime with adults.

I mean, aging up characters in this one wouldn't mean much, seems to be following similar bits to Nocturne, which would be a post apocalyptic world for most of the game.

The core of the writing of Shin Megami is about ideals, a side of chaos, law and the like, not about character arcs per say, the main characters you'll interact with will be about those ideals, making them adults won't really make a difference here.

What games are these like? Never played them and trying to o determine if I'd like them.
