Could be worse, like IV Apocalypse.
2020 is looking like a slow year for Switch, with just Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and a Mario Compilation. Kind of like how 2018 was slow.
Meanwhile 2021 looks like a potential floodgates year for games, similar to 2019, and 2017. We're likely to get Odyssey 2, BotW 2, SMTV, and Bayo 3 all in a single year.

I mean, aging up characters in this one wouldn't mean much, seems to be following similar bits to Nocturne, which would be a post apocalyptic world for most of the game.
The core of the writing of Shin Megami is about ideals, a side of chaos, law and the like, not about character arcs per say, the main characters you'll interact with will be about those ideals, making them adults won't really make a difference here.
What games are these like? Never played them and trying to o determine if I'd like them.
Day 1 for me. Been excited for this one since the Switch launched...
