Forums - Sales Discussion - Global Hardware June 28 to July 4 - Switch Sells Over 300,000 Units

It's good to see Switch's success is worldwide.
Even Europe like it.
I wonder if by the next spring Nintendo is planning to release another revision to keep pushing sales.

Another 300K. Like I said, it wont be long when it passes the 60m mark. News of the next iteration consoles hasn't affected it at all too.

What type of revision can they do at this point? If they redesign the main Switch unit, the dock would most likely need a redesign as well. Maybe a version without a screen, so it is just a regular home console?

A TV Switch or Switch-only homeconsole is something I honestly don't see it coming. My guess would be that rumored "Switch Pro", similar to the New 3DS, with better overall performance and some noticeable upgrades, but not enough to be consider as a successor.

1.7m away from passing the NES mark for Switch.

Yeah that would make some sense. March 2021 would be four years after launch. It would help extend the life of the console. Were there any "New" 3DS exclusives?

Switch Pro could slide right in at $199 for Switch Lite Pro and $299 for Switch Pro, while the base systems get a price cut. At this point both have to cheap enough to produce where Nintendo can still turn a profit even if they were a bit cheaper.

IIRC, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D was a New 3DS exclusive.

And I agree with those prices.

PS4 is selling great for a system that will be replaced in 4/5 months.

A TV only switch priced at 199 would sell like crazy. I paid 299 for my switch and have only played it in docked mode.

Crazy to think about how the Wii U's Holiday weekly sales are less than the Switch's regular weekly sales. Wow
