Forums - PC Discussion - Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC launches August 7

I'll probably pick it up during a steam sale, when the game is between £10 - £20

The price is a joke. It's a three year old game that sells for $20 new. How the fuck is the Digital-Only PC version not $15?

I'm so torn on the lack of exclusivity for Sony games. On one hand Sony's hardware doesn't last anymore. My original PS4 broke three times before I upgraded to the Pro. Worst of all they don't offer anything past a one year warranty in the states. I'd much rather just have my PC than deal with their shoddy hardware. At least I can easily fix my rig if something goes wrong with it. On the other hand Sony's bread and butter is platform royalty fees. If they make their games no longer exclusive they are basically digging their own grave.

I suspect that they'll continue to replicate the HZD model of " three year timed exclusivity", followed by a price gouging PC release. If they are going to release on PC they need to do it day and date (like MS), massively discounted three years later, or not at all.

The way they are handling it now is a massive middle finger to PS4 users, and a massive middle finger to PC users as well.

Eh, I still have my original PS4 in addition to a first gen Pro. Both work fine. Yes, consoles break. All of them. Sony's aren't any worse than the standard.

In regards to exclusivity, I'm glad they mostly stick to it. Everything doesn't have to be on everything. Even years later. That's Microsoft's strategy, which is all good, but not Nintendo's and not Sony's. I expect an exclusive here or there to come to PC, but not all of them.

dont kid yourself, nintendo products never break

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Nintendo devices break broski (although I trust theirs and Sony's consoles mostly). Still, gotta accept it. ;)

seeing as you didn't deconfirm my assumption of you breaking a 3310 im saying you are a walking disaster and then blames it on the harmless grade a product

Technically, the only device(s) that have never given me trouble are PC rigs, any SEGA console, and my multiple Panasonic REAL 3DOs. Grade B is what Nintendo is. ;P

you dont walk around with those! my suspicion of you being a walking disaster grows

EDIT : going OT here, Great game but wont repurchase for 50 euro

For PC it is a new game, just as a lot of late ports on Switch released full price.

I have a NES, SNES and GC that needed repair or aren't working perfectly fine.

Also my brand new Switch have issue with the controllers not being recognized from time to time or with movement and also have a lot of drift and miss movement.

This is great, more people that can enjoy the game and more profit for Sony.
Win win situation, the exclusivity for this game on Sony consoles is not that important anymore.

You are quite wrong.

My PS1 had problem on the disc reader and I needed to use it upside down, stopped working 5 years after I bought it (so I doubt PS2 at that moment).

My PS2 had some freezing after 5 years near the time I was ready to buy PS3.

The PS3 this year after 11 years is shutting down with some games, mostly with disc.

The PS4 have that issue that it keeps ejecting my disc and needed a replacement of a sensor. The Pro had a disc reader failure that I neede to replace the reader.

My PSP had the battery swell and needed another (and there isn't official anymore).

Not sure why do you think I'm like you.

All 6 devices were still working, but needed repair to be fully functional without quirks.
