You are quite wrong.
My PS1 had problem on the disc reader and I needed to use it upside down, stopped working 5 years after I bought it (so I doubt PS2 at that moment).
My PS2 had some freezing after 5 years near the time I was ready to buy PS3.
The PS3 this year after 11 years is shutting down with some games, mostly with disc.
The PS4 have that issue that it keeps ejecting my disc and needed a replacement of a sensor. The Pro had a disc reader failure that I neede to replace the reader.
My PSP had the battery swell and needed another (and there isn't official anymore).
Not sure why do you think I'm like you.
All 6 devices were still working, but needed repair to be fully functional without quirks.
