Biden was in dozens of debates during the primary and he did just fine.  He isn’t a great debater, but he holds his own.  He really isn’t any worse at verbal slips then he was 40 years ago, he has always had slips when speaking publicly.  Which is not a weird thing.  Happens to lots of people.  Happens to me all the time as a teacher talking to my class.  This whole Biden being senile or having dementia is a trump creation.  It isn’t true.

The debates are gonna be trump up there throwing out conspiracy theories and basically being a douche and Biden trying to be the adult in the room.  Trumps base will love the insults and believe every word... because they want to.  That’s the problem with partisanship, the more partisan you get the more close minded you get.

I think there are enough people tired of trumps act they vote him out this year.   I guess we will see though.

As far as slips goes, he makes WAAAY more than any other politician I've studied and I've been pretty obsessed with politics (any party, even minor ones and international like UK, Canadian, German, Australian in particular) for many years now. I taught for 4 years prior to this school year and I too made slips, but not like this guy. Saying this legitimate viewpoint is simply a fabrication for a political party you may not agree with doesn't help create an atmosphere for a rational discussion, by the way. I would not say "This whole Trump being a narcissist is a Biden creation. It isn't true," to you because I believe in respecting viewpoints. You can disagree with a viewpoint without describing it like it's a conspiracy theory and thereby alienating said viewpoint's holders from a quality discussion.

Dude, are you a doctor now?  Have you examined Biden with all your many qualifications and diagnosed him?  No?  So this viewpoint is legitimate how?  The armchair diagnosing of candidates health is not something anybody should really be sharing or discussing.  His doctor has cleared him of any mental issues.  Let’s leave those issues to the actual professionals that know what they are talking about.  Anybody can create a video of clips of any public figure documenting all their slips and make it look far worse than what it is.  Especially a politician with as many years of public service as Biden has.  Do you know who is creating and spreading most of those clips right now?  The trump campaign and it’s supporters.

Also, for the record, I’m certainly not a democrat.  I tend to be center right in my political views and vote mostly republican.

Woah, the polls are almost 50-50 and VGchartz tend to aim towards the young demographics.

That’s because you are asking who you think will win, not who they want to win, and young people tend to be more pessimistic when it comes to politics.

Polls overall have pretty consistently given Biden a substantial lead in who people will vote for, despite giving Trump a slight lead in who people expect to win. Not surprised we are seeing the same thing here.

I didn't suggest you were a democrat or any party for that matter.

I agree I'm not qualified to diagnose someone, but I am qualified to choose to not vote for someone who I don't believe is mentally "there" enough to handle the football and all the other stresses of the job. I'm also not ignorant of the fact that officials can be bribed to say whatever the briber wants. I don't think Trump was as healthy as a horse as his doctor suggested, for example. Anyone can lie, doctors included, if enough cash is wired to an offshore account or if someone is politically motivated.

By the way, I don't really watch short clips, I enjoy seeing the context before and after, so I'm not being manipulated by alt right groups or whatever. I enjoy watching things like speeches and debates, not just a 30 second clip.

The actual polls have a hard time getting the viewpoints of non educated white guys, and those are the ones that showed up in droves to vote for Trump in the Rust belt states. So maybe enough people on this site are aware that there is a silent group out there not being represented in the polls just like 2016 and they are curbing their expections.

A lot of people are voting who they want and are being biased.

So you get upset because you think I was describing a viewpoint as a conspiracy theory... and you are now justifying your viewpoint WITH a conspiracy theory... great... nice talking with you man...

Unfortunately trump

Or maybe they're voting for who they think will win, and they think the person they want to win, will win? Regardless you're taking your own thread offtopic, nothing you've said here cannot be said in the election thread, so for that reason we've decided to lock it.
