Well, maybe. Nobody else brought it up. I have iodized, a specific type of Sea, and pink Himalayan. I tend to use pink Himalayan most often. To be fair though, it would be hard to tell the difference in taste if you were to eat it straight by the spoonful.

I find that Himalayan salt is less salty. You have to use more to get the same amount of saltiness.

I think you're right on that. I actually use salt water instead of mouthwash almost all the time instead of mouthwash ( something I'm going to curtail, since sodium is absorbed in the mouth ), and I have noticed that I seem to need to use more with Himalayan.

Darn... but that's the only way I consume it

OT: hard choice, I love both, but salt is most deffinitely the overlooked champion of most kitchens. Even the famous Kitchen demo that turned out to be RE7.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I was hoping this would be the next splatfest. I am dissapointed now.

If there's one thing I learned from McDonald's, it's that their salty fries are f******* great !

You need to experience some good selfmade European fries to know the best . :p

Try to have a meal without any salt in it.

We are so lucky that salt is very cheap compared to our history not that long ago, price of salt was close to the price of gold back then.

How about Salt AND Pepa?

Came here to say this (and also prove I'm old at the same time)

Signature goes here!

Salt or Black Pepper? Salt, easily. It's a huge no for most chefs to not use seasonings, but the biggest sin is not using Salt. Salt brings out the flavor of food better than Pepper ever wished it could. Salt also has a ton of uses within culinary arts that I can't go without. It also makes stuff taste damn good. Salt is also needed for the Sodium and Potassium functions in your body that keep your body in working order. Not only is it necessary for health, but it is tasty. But as with any consumable just don't overdo it.
