God damn is so big. And im guessing the width will also be the biggest.

I think if you include the base in it's width, it'll be about the same width as the series X. It's massive.

I'm not a fan of it but I think I'll wait for another colour scheme before I make a judgement.

I really liked the mock all black PS5 controller and I'm expecting the same of the console.

Do that many guys over here lives in Japan to have so much problems to have a console on their setup?

Technically I could have a thousand PS5s in my home, but the places I’d want to put one of them are slim to none. The look and size of this thing would be a huge reason for me to pick an XBox over the PS5, because that one actually looks neutral, though it’s also not exactly on the small side.

It was just great to see the mockups and also the devkit and people freaking out that it would be the console.

Sure thing the price will be 100x more relevant than the size or looks. Do hope they go for 399 discless and 499 with disc.

Well the PS2 wasn't all that much different looking than it's dev kit. Smaller, but very similar in design. SNY clearly had a V thing going on and they have followed through with it, just in an unforeseen way.

A really cheap price itself isn't all that necessary, though too expensive is suicide regardless of looks. If this looked like the PS4 or PS2 or any of the XB1's, SNY would have likely gotten roasted way worse than they have. The fact that the PS5 design is like the Italian exotic version of the 360, is what will allow SNY to get away with it. The XB1 wasn't even as big, but it was designed like a cardboard shipping box. SNY is pretty smart when it comes to marketing in all aspects of gaming. If they price the PS5 like the 2020 Corvette, it'll sell plenty.

PS3 devkit and final unit was similar as well. But on the PS5 that was totally different. The only similarities are the V shape and the vents.

Well if you could technically have a thousand PS5s then if you wanted any of those to play the games I'm sure you would find a way

I like a lot the look. I was very happy when I saw it.

It's like a 3/5. It looks pretty bad horizontally, vertically I can appreciate it's going for something unique, but it's not all quite there.

Yep, if you overlay them with the base

On it's side without a base the series X covers quite a bit

Without a base or minimal support on the right hand side the ps5 is about 9.9cm high vs 15.1 cm od the Series X.
(About the same height as ps4 pro plus psvr breakout box on top)

It depends on whether you have an entertainment unit with shelves which will fit better. The Series X on its side could maybe fit depending on any feet, I have about 15.5 cm between shelves... Not sure what that will do to any airflow, basically plugging the unit with a big brick. Anyway I'll hold off on the Series X as long as it doesn't get VR support. The 39 cm width (if flat) is not a problem and there should be enough airflow with another 5cm clear over and a bit under.

I like the color scheme. 5/5
I don't mind the design 4/5
Size I'm on the fence on, I've got to see it in person. 3/5
My overall 4/5, I'm hyped.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Standing 2/5
Flat 1/5

What a PS5 will look like after a few short years on your shelf and a lot of these in second hand shops
