looks like this prediction was spot on. Gamepass is really just gona hurt the xbox brand.

Care to explain? It’s creating a lot of goodwill within the community. Like I pay the price of 3 games per year and play a lot more games then you. You would have to spend hundreds more to play the amount I am playing. To anybody not declaring their undying loyalty to Sony, it’s regarded as the best value in gaming.

Do you believe what you mentioned third party's see as a possitive thing? EA, Activicion and other scumy big publishers are cringing at what you just mentioned amd will avoid ot like the plague.

Ea, Activision, and other big publishers aren’t going to stop putting their games on Xbox though.

Sure but thouse are just the biggest and scumiest I can mentioned. Does not mean that little independednt devs or Japanese devs or many others will like the prostpet of les revenue.

Honestly, moneyhatting 3rd party exclusives is a very scummy thing to do. I don't understand how people can celebrate that as a good thing. I guess, because it's Sony doing it,then it's ok. But it sucks for most of the players and makes me less inclined in buying a console or a game.

I really dislike it but all of the big 3 do it. I mean Monster Hunter Rise and Bravely Default 2 come to mind on Nintendo's side. Microsoft done it for Titanfall and Tombraider  (The latter deservingly got huge backlash because it was a betrayal of the fanbase which typically been playstation heavy)

Buy yeah, I really see no point in celebrating "exclusives" which the platform maker did not help create or bring to life. If its just a case of a money being given to have exclusivity or to help promote, thats not really a win for anyone.

And on PC and Xbox the Yakuza series is prospering, ain't it?
Or why are more and more Yakuza games on these platforms.

SteamSpy's estimate for Yakuza 0 is over half a million units:

The audience ain't that different on Playstation, Xbox and PC... so multiplatform makes sense in most cases.

MS gone to sega and send a buckload of money, else how would you explain that not only Yakuza launched on Xbox but got put almost immediatly in GP plus have 5 months exclusivity on gen9 for Xbox for Yakuza 7?

SteamSpy number are games SOLD on Steam, that has nothing to do with GamePass.
The GamePass installations on Xbox and PC are on top of that.

So again, the Yakuza series is prospering on PC (& Xbox), even without Gamepass and millions of PC + Xbox gamers are playing these games. So the audience doesn't seem to be that different from the PlayStation audience.

You asked why Yakuza got more games released on Xbox I gave you the explanation. That steam estimative isn't really definitive and doesn't cover xbox.

EA Play merged with Game Pass...I think EA consented to that.

Either way you said hurt the Xbox brand when GP is doing anything but with gamers that use it.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Yes you the end user will benefit tremendously. But devs and publishers are the ones loosing on potential sales. So if they see gamepass negatively that will ultimate hurt the brand.

The big publishers don’t put their AAA games day 1 on GP so there’s no problem here. If they arrive it’s after sales drop off.

Yet EA Access is included with gamepass...

I actually wont be surprised. Especially if Sony continues with PS4's momtentum and dominate Xbox out of the gate.

SSD and DualSense controllers can't be underestimated, they are the X factor.
